Overall the experience was great and I will like to thank Aahil who was always helpful with answering any question and accomodating any requests even at short notice! As a solo female, I was initially concerned with safety, but aah made me safe from start to finish. The local guides were informative and provided plenty of time to explore the different sites. The best person of the whole tour was Guddu, the driver. He was the best person ever. He drove long hours through crazy traffic, but I never felt safer. Guddu was always smiling and happy to help whenever he could. As a single female traveller in India I was a little concerned about hassle. The guides and the driver arranged by Aahil were always on hand to deal with any over eager hawkers. I had a very minor issue with one of the guides and Aahil jumped on to this immediately and sorted beyond my expectations. - Jackie· September 30th, 2024India is a magical place and so special. We were lucky to have great guides and an amazing guide / driver / companion Danish for our trip. He was very professional, very prompt with all queries and always had our best interests when we went anywhere. Thank you so much for making it so memorable for us. Was sad when it ended! From the prompt and amazing reception at the airport to the goodbye was just lovely! Always lots of refreshments and snacks and he was full of great facts and stories. Felt leaving that he was a friend not just a tour guide. The other 4 guides too were very knowledgeable. We saw everything and never felt pushed around or hurried. The hotels were lovely, breakfasts too. No complaints at all. And Ahlil, called and checked in with us daily / consistently to make sure were we looked after, safe and enjoying ourselves. Even surprised us with lunch the one day and a coffee (which he knows I love!) A huge thank you to the team at Taj tours. We will be back and refer you as the experts to anyone who asks about India. As two older ladies from Australia, we had concerns about travel in India but from the moment we were greeted at Delhi airport we felt safe, secure and always had someone with us during the whole tour. Aahil was excellent as the planner. Communication was easy, efficient, prompt and open to flexibility. It was nice to meet him at a lovely restaurant in Agra. The local guides at the various sites were knowledgeable, especially Agra, and we felt safe with them. Hotels were very good with plenty of choice in the buffet breakfasts. “7Apple” in Jaipur was especially nice on the foreshore of the lake of the Water Palace framed with mountains behind. Danish was the driver of the 2 month old car which he kept immaculate. He always had cold water and the air conditioned car at the gate after visiting each site which was very welcome in the heat. He was a brilliant, skilled driver and we loved the conversations on the long trips between cities. An intelligent, educated young man who was always professional, courteous, on time and calm in the traffic chaos. He is a credit to his company. We really appreciated on the last day, his not just dropping us at New Delhi railway station, but he found the platform to Amritsar and waited for a time with us. This was beyond his duty and we shall never forget his thoughtfulness and kindness. I was under the impression this was a group tour, however lack of bookings or my misunderstanding, this turned into a private 5 day solo tour with a great, fantastic driver who had limited English. Tour guides are only interested in their tip, finishing early, and taking you to restaurants/shops, where they receive commission. Even if you have been to 2 or 3 carpet/marble shops in a row haha. A tip would be to carry alot of cash with you as everyone wants to be tipped, purchases in cash. Entry is not included so makes it for an expensive tour, especially when YOU PAY for the GUIDES entry! The 5 day tour is the same as the 3 day one, so if you're thinking youll see more or do more, you'd be wrong. It just means you get dropped off at the hotel by the airport earlier. The accommodation is above satisfactory.
