- Dung· October 24th, 2024Well organized with great accommodations and services in all.Trip date: October 2024
- RGRiccardo· September 14th, 2024Tour was pretty good in terms of organization, but a bit confusing changing guides and also tour mates every day. We missed a couple of places due to not respected times, things that can happen when the groups are >10 people. The Cusco city tour + archeological sites nearby, should start earlier in particular during winter/early spring period due to the low temperatures and the darkness after tre 5:5:30pm.Show moreTrip date: September 2024

- Tosha· June 16th, 2024I had an amazing experience with the tour. I learned so many interesting facts about the Incan ruins. I also had the opportunity to not only tour Machu Picchu city but I also got to. climb Machu Picchu mountain. All of the coordination of pick ups and drip off were well communicated and on time. All guides were I formative and professional.Show moreTrip date: June 2024

- MEMelissa· May 31st, 2024Know what you are purchasing. If you are somewhat independent travel savvy you will probably be ok. If you want assistance from start to finish this is not for you. Kantu Peru Tours was the lead organizer. It was handy to have someone coordinate the Machu Picchu visit, train, and bus tickets, and hotels. However, the problem is with overall organization. You do not have a dedicated guide or transportation person. Each day you have someone from a different agency coordinating pickup or meeting times and a different person serving as the guide. Essentially you have two or three people, who you do not know their names or contact info, linking at a hotel or public space for the activity While the guides were good, it was frustrating to be locating a public square at 0500 to meet someone that you didn’t know in the dark for the MP guide. There was no one to meet us at the Aguas Caliente train station either. We followed the instructions and then doubled back to ask the remaining guides if they had our names. We finally found one with our name on a sheet of paper Be aware that you will have subcontracted local companies servicing the locations. You will be mixed with different groups, normally 10-16 The hotel in Cosco was nice and in a good location, Hotel San Augustin. At night it was very noisy outside with consistent boom boom sounds. I mentioned this to Kantu after the first night and nothing was changed when returned for two additional nights. They were kind to offer luggage storage. Communication with Kantu is via WhatsApp. If you do not have access to this service on site it can be very challenging to contact anyone for assistance. We had to find a wifi spot a couple times to ask the Kantu agent where our guide was located. They did send a daily WhatsApp update of the schedule, but again, you have to have access to receive. Overall, we enjoy the sites and experiencing the culture. The administrative headache overshadowed the overall rating. I did address this with Kantu and what I received was an explanation of their operations as described above. I have had positive experiences with TourRadar before but I would consider alternatives before choosing this particular experience.Show moreTrip date: May 2024
- Bessie· May 10th, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed the 5 day Cusco tour. It was very well organized and on time. The tour guides were very accommodative, courteous and did a great job to provide the history / information of all the places we visited. The hotels were all near the main plaza and good choices. It was definitely a memorable trip, thanks Tourrador.Show moreTrip date: April 2024

- EMEva· April 23rd, 2024The tour is not organised to accommodate overseas travellers who might have jet lag and/or have problems with the altitude. Because my plane from Madrid to Lima was cancelled, I arrived on the day the tour started, as did two girl from Canada, one of which did your tour to Egypt, which she enjoyed. Arriving at lunch time in Cusco, I was housed in a “hotel” that resembled a youth hostel. “Hotel Sol Oriente” is so primitive, it does not even have bed side lamps! However, the people who run it are very friendly. The guide gave me a number of tickets and vouchers and said that I would be picked up in an hour for a city tour, but did not explain what this entailed. So no time to relax, eat lunch or buy a SIM card. I was hesitant but the guide insisted that this would be my only chance to see Cusco, so I agreed. BIG mistake! The city tour basically centred on the Cathedral and Inka ruins. After the first lot of ruins, around 4pm I hoped (as did the Canadians and some people from Brasil, one of which was violently sick) that we would return to the city square from where we were supposed to walk to our hotel. However, the tour guide (a knowledgeable man called Romulo) said no, there were 2 more lot of ruins to come, all further away from the city. The Brazilians and I remained in the coach. At the second lot of ruins we were told that we would travel even further out of the city to a market. That meant that we would not be back at the city square before 18:30. I organised a private car and returned by myself. The two Canadian girls carried on, but the next day when we left for Maccupichu they were not on the coach even though we had the same itinerary. Day 2 was fine, we had a nice guide who took us to Ollantaytambo, the only way to get to Maccupichu. On the way we passed the salt mines which I was supposed to see on day 4. The hotel in Maccupichu was pure luxury compared to the one in Cusco. I was met by a tour guide in the evening who told me that I had to be at the main square at 6am. Five minutes to 6am I was at the square. A middle aged Canadian couple I met on the coach to Ollantaytambo told me that yet another guide would call my name to go up to the mountain. Their name had been called, but not mine. So I stood there until the square completely emptied. I spotted a tour guide and asked for help. He contacted Waldir from Kantu Travel who organised for someone to pick me up. I got to the mountain, which is most spectacular. There I met up with the Canadian middle aged couple. The time up on the mountain was fantastic, if exhausting. We had to return by ourselves pick up the luggage, go to the train and then we’re driven back to Cusco. The Canadian couple was so exhausted that they barely managed to get onto the coach. They were supposed to go to the painted cliffs early next day. I do not know if they did. It was clear to me that I did not want to travel the same route the next day, to the salt mines, so I messaged Waldir that I was not to join. On day 4 I explored Cusco by myself. A charming city full of friendly people. On day 5 I was picked up from the hotel and taken to the airport. On balance, I suggest that you reorganise this tour. It is a spectacular destination, but international travellers need to be considered. As it is, it is more of a self guided tour with the occasional guide. Day 1 should be allowed for acclimatisation. Day 2 should have a city tour starting late but finishing early. Day 3 travel to Maccupichu. Day 4 see Maccupichu and stay there overnight. Day 5 return on an early train to Cusco and include the Salines or something else. Leave Cusco on day 6. It seems that the tour has been put together by people unfamiliar with long distance travel. For this reason I will not recommend this tour as it is at the moment.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- DJDenise· February 24th, 2024My experience was amazing! This was a trip of a lifetime for me. I enjoyed the 5 day Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Maras Moray. I don’t have any complaints regarding the service provided by Tourradar. Once in Peru, Kantu Tours provided excellent services. The staff for a majority of the tour were professional and friendly. I would book another tour in the future with Tourradar.Show moreTrip date: February 2024
