- Andrew· September 2nd, 2023the tour itself was good there were times when i felt we were being rushed to leave when i would have preferred to stay longer instead of doing rug & leather demo/sales pitches at us.(Shopping was not a reason i chose this holiday) & i felt we were being used as bait for the various companies to make money.i did get sick at one point & as i only ate at provided accommodation & tour restaurant stops it was obviously from one of these places whose hygiene standards i thought was poor.communication was quite poor, & some of the published information was unclear & caused some unpleasant unnecessary issues while on tour.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Andrew, Thank you for your message. - RMRobert· May 6th, 2023Overall this trip was. Some of the hotels were less than desirable but most of them were amazing. The one downside is some of the food that comes with some of the hotels were okay. All the guides were amazing. If there's one negative is this tour went from 10 days to 9 days. I would hope they would reconsider because 9 days is not enough. There's a bit of jet lag that you have to endure if you're coming from somewhere like where we did the USA. Wish we had more time in Istanbul. Overall I had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this trip.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewThank you Robert for your time to review us. - KHKate· September 13th, 2022We had a great time in Turkey! I felt like we were able to see quite a bit. Some of the tours were just the two of us which was pretty nice and others were in a small group. We got very minimal information on our itinerary for the day-to-day plan. I would have felt a lot more comfortable having more information rather than just blindly showing up places and trusting things are taken care of. However things did go pretty smoothly and anytime I reached out to Ismail with questions he would answer all of my questions quickly. The other frustrating thing was that so many tours included rug demonstrations/shops. I knew that we would go to one and they would try and sell us rugs, but we were sent to 4 which was way too much. 2 of them were set up in exchange for a meal (they would feed us lunch and then try and sell rugs to us) and we would have much rather paid for our own lunch because some of the sales people can be pushy and it was uncomfortable at times. I know they are just trying to make sales and that's the business, but after that many demonstrations we were pretty sick of it. Other than that we had really good tour guides and the hotels we stayed in were in good locations and pretty nice (With the exception of the Marina hotel in Kusadasi which was really really bad). We had a great time!Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewThank you Kate for your time to review us. It is valuable for us and we will correct these issues. - Brianne· June 28th, 2022Best tour/trip we have taken! The guides were all fantastic - so much fun and full of great info. The food and hotels were great. Turkey is a beautiful country. This trip is a must! Would love to do it again.Eskapas commented on this reviewHello Brianne, Thank you for your time to review us. - NSNellie· June 9th, 2022I booked Anatolian trilogy and was very happy with the amenities and locations. Transferee were easy, tickets for airfare and entrance to most attractions all managed in advance so no waiting in line. Guides were knowledgeable and spoke a English very well. I learned a ton and had lots of fun. I would be remiss if I did not add a special review for my Eskapas agent Ismail. A+++ or whatever the highest rating is for service. He was always available and helped make all the changes I needed when I contacted him. I don’t know how to thank him enough- he truly went above and beyond.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewThank you Nellie for your review. Best regards, AysegulTrip date: May 2022
- Pedro· May 23rd, 2022Overall experience was excellent. Trip was very well organized and always on time. Turkey is an amazing country with much things to offer. Trip started in Istanbul, amazing city. Never enough time to see it all. Yigitalp hotel in Istanbul is very well located, nice staff and just a few tram stops from Sultanhemet area. Breakfast at the hotel is the one thing we didn´t like- It can be improved a lot or choose another hoe¡tel with better food quality. Second stop was Capadoccia, magical city. Tours were ok, and can be improved, I think there is much more to see in town and there is a lot of time waste taking us to rug, leather, jewelry shop, etc. which were not in our tour description when we booked it. Too much importance for this when there is a lot more of sightseeing. Abras Cabe house hotel was outstanding, an only 10 room boutique hotel. Staff makes you feel at home. Kusadasi was thr theird stop. The Marina Kudasi hotel is terrible, very dirty and low maintenance. Company needs to find a different place to stay. The town is great to go shopping on your own and go eat at a local restaurant. Beautiful sunsets. Epheso was a great visit even though I would have prefer spending more time at the site and not going again to a leather shop where they try to sell you things that you can fin a lot more cheaper in Kusadasi. Troy is a very interesting ancient site, then Bergama is another amazing place but again not enough time to explore around. Waste of time going to the carpet shop. Bergama town has much more to offer and to explore than offered in the tour.. Channakale Akol hotel was outstanding. Great food and service. This the quality needed among the whole trip. Galipoli is interesting if you like history. Probably wont go back again. Once is enough. Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Hope this review helps improve the tour. Thanks to all the tour guides. Standing ovation.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewThank you very much Mr. Cota for your deep review, I am sure that our future customers will appreciate it. - TKTerence· November 21st, 2019We were dropped off in Kusadasi for 2 days without a guide and a chance to do the optional Pamukkale tour, so we missed out completely. This caused us to visit Troy and Gallipoli on our last day getting us back to Istanbul late on our last night. Very unacceptable. We only needed the 1 day in Kusadasi then the rest would not have been so rushed. We were quite pleased with our guides. Terry KinderShow moreEskapas commented on this reviewDear Terrence Your program was always like this as mentioned in the program. We are giving free day in a coastal village Kusadasi with the option of visiting the surroundings. Specially Pamukkale Excursion is an option as it is 380 km round trip. Best...
