We were told Mt Kenya is very different to Kilimanjaro and it is true. It is more like a mountain. We loved it and possibly more thank Kili. Michael was a lot of fun and knew a lot about the mountain and birds

Having done Kilimanjaro this was such a different climb. Debra from Nomadic suggested we add on a day to acclimitise at Liki North and that is what we did. It made a difference and it is such a quite place we were the only ones there. The summit is tougher than Kili but the descent is so pretty. Protea were in full bloom. The road out is very muddy but we had a good driver. John was a delight. Highly recommended
