The idea of this adventure came out of the blue in 2023. And honestly, Alpine Ramble Trek is the only company I checked out because of the great reviews. I thought I was just sending a query but after a few emails with Dil (company owner) an itinerary was laid out and that sealed the deal for me. And here we are June 2024, I’ve completed the 12-day trek to EBC. What a grand experience! Something I will never forget. Alpine Ramble Trek definitely took care of everything, didn’t have to worry about a thing. From guide, porter, accomodations, transportation; all boxes ticked. All I needed to do was walk, enjoy the sceneries and get to the next point. Big thanks to Dil for such an organised trek! In saying that, I wouldn’t have survive this trek without the help of my amazing guide Mr Nir Gurung and porter Mr Robin Tamang. Being a solo traveller, safety is always priority. And I’ve felt safe throughout the trek. They looked after me like a sister, always checking if I was okay especially when I was showing signs of high altitude sickness. Nir handled that expertly! We communicated openly and made plans accordingly. Thus, I completed the trek safely! They constantly reminded me that slow is okay. “No rush, we have time” - their constant encouragement taking a lot of pressure off my back. Nir’s knowledge of the Himalayas and his openess to share that is commendable. Robin’s pleasant demeanor is comforting. No dull moments with these two. And I’m in awe of their ability to walk, talk, sing, whistle, carry heavy load and still smile, laugh and breathe comfortably without missing a beat. The best mates for a challenging journey! Thank you Nir and Robin! You’ve been awesome! Let me reiterate TRANSPORTATION. On the day I needed to fly out of Lukla the weather wasn’t favourable, which means flying out is not an option. These things happen with monsoon season just starting. However, I didn’t have to worry much because Dil was one step ahead and had a helicopter sorted out for this situation. He had all paperwork sorted out for my travel insurance claim. Above and beyond right?! Alpine Ramble Trek service - gold class. So if you’re planning to do a trek in Nepal check out Alpine Ramble Trek. They’re one of a kind. You will not regret it!

We traveled to Everest base camp with Alpine Ramble, who offered excellent service. The tour was well planned by Dil.Mr. Prashanth, our guide, was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the time.He was always there to support us when we needed help.I sincerely appreciate the outstanding assistance you have given. Due to the excellent service this organization offers, I heartily recommend them. And to mention, our porters Kumar and Prasad put out a lot of effort carrying our heavy bags.We couldn't have made the journey without them.

I had a fantastic time with the trekking guide Dika Rai. He is a very pleasant and humorous guy and we made a good team. I didn't have to worry about anything other than hiking 🙂. Alpine Ramble, run by Dil Gurung, is a very professional company that still provides very personal support. I was personally welcomed by Dil at the start of my tour and he took a lot of time to explain everything to me and again at the end to say goodbye and hand over a certificate. I felt safe and well looked after at all times on the mountain. We weren't always lucky with the weather, which led to delays in the flights between Kathmandu and Lukla. But thanks to the good support, this wasn't a problem. Dika and Dil took care of booking or rebooking the appropriate flights in the background, which was particularly convenient for me because I returned to Lukla with Dika a day earlier than originally planned. Acclimatization to the altitude of over 5000m was also no problem. The 11-day program allows enough time and special acclimatization days to get used to the altitude. I really enjoyed the trip and took tons of wonderful photos. Highly recommended 👍😎

Just recently returned to Kathmandu (today!) after completing the 12-day EBC Trek with my very awesome guide RAM!!!! At the very beginning, the trip was organized by Mr. Dil without any issues. Then from Day #1 to Day #12, my guide, RAM, took the reigns and guided my day to day activity very calmly and with full patience as we hiked along a very challenging landscape with many uphills and downhills. As a solo traveler, I never felt alone in a very challenging environment as RAM made sure I was healthy (gladly didn’t have any issues with altitude) and comfortable with our pace. He even helped, at times, carrying my sleeping bag, most especially climbing one of the most challenging uphill of the trek. Without hesitation, I will recommend Alpine Ramble Trek to anyone wanting to have the experience of a lifetime with Everest Base Camp. The group has a very deep connection in the area and it was quite lovely meeting other travelers through them, that made the experience even more memorable for me. This is an adventure of a lifetime and i’m glad RAM was my buddy for this trip!

My Everest Base Camp trek was nothing short of phenomenal, and a huge part of that credit goes to Alpine Ramble Treks. Here's why they're the perfect partner for your EBC adventure: Expert Guidance: Alpine Ramble Treks's guides weren't just knowledgeable about the terrain; they were passionate about the Himalayas. They pointed out hidden wonders, shared fascinating stories about the region, and ensured our safety throughout the trek. Their experience with altitude management was invaluable, keeping us acclimatized and trekking strong. Top-Notch Support: The porters at Alpine Ramble Treks were absolute rockstars. They carried our gear with a smile, ensuring we could focus on enjoying the trek. Their friendly demeanor and helpfulness made them feel more like companions than just support staff. Unbeatable Service: From the very beginning, Alpine Ramble Treks impressed. Their communication was clear and prompt, answering all my questions patiently. The logistics were flawlessly handled, including permits, transportation, and cozy teahouse stays. They even surprised us with a special treat at Gorakshep! Unforgettable Experience: Alpine Ramble Treks went above and beyond to make the trek a truly unforgettable journey. They catered to our dietary needs with delicious and nutritious meals, even at high altitudes. They also organized a celebratory dinner at Namche Bazaar, which was a fantastic way to bond with fellow trekkers and the Alpine Ramble Treks team. Overall: Choosing Alpine Ramble Treks for my Everest Base Camp trek was the best decision I could have made. They are a professional, passionate, and incredibly supportive company. They turned a challenging trek into a life-changing experience filled with breathtaking scenery, cultural immersion, and personal accomplishment. Highly Recommend: If you're dreaming of conquering Everest Base Camp, look no further than Alpine Ramble Treks. They'll ensure your journey is safe, memorable, and filled with the spirit of adventure.

The best trekking company in Nepal! I spent a month in Nepal and did two separate treks with Alpine Ramble – the 11 day Annapurna Circuit and 8 day Everest Base Camp. I did a fair amount of research on trekking companies before booking and Alpine Ramble more than deserves the reputation it has in review sections like these! First up, you have Dil who is the mastermind behind it all. He was really easy to contact via WhatsApp before I arrived. He was able to plan a trip for me that allowed me to see both Annapurna and Everest regions, with enough time for acclimatisation, rest and unforeseen delays. Speaking of which, my flight to Lukla was delayed one day due to weather, which is very common. But this is when Dil went above and beyond. He organised a helicopter to take me the next day, at no additional charge. For context, the other people on the heli had to pay upwards of $300 each. Now I’m sure Dil wouldn’t be able to do this for every customer, but it just shows how committed he is to making sure you have the best time. And I’m so thankful, it was only one of the best experiences of my life! Now onto the guides and porters. I had Basanta and Prakash for ACT, and Krishna Dhakar and Balkumar for EBC. They were all fantastic. Whether it was playing ludo/cards together or them cheerleading me through some of the more challenging sections of the trek, I will be forever grateful to these guys for making my experience so special. They were all such wonderful people. They set a nice slow hiking pace and checked my oxygen levels every night to reduce the risk of altitude sickness, but also recognised when I could go a bit further. They took care of everything, so I could just focus on enjoying the trekking! We stayed in great tea houses throughout, and I’d always seem to get the best room on offer. Maybe that’s Dil working his magic! Last thing. You read and hear a lot about poor working conditions and exploitation in Nepal. It was really important to me that this wasn’t the case for my trip and I can confirm that Alpine Ramble treats all its staff fairly. From limits on how heavy the porters’ bags can be, to the 10% that goes to charity, Alpine Ramble seems very ethical. I was delighted to hear that one of my guide’s (very smart) sons was studying Computer Science in the US. It gave me confidence that my money was being fairly distributed. Thank you so much to everyone at Alpine Ramble, I’ll be back one day!
