The tour was perfectly organized. The contact with Joyce in the run-up to the trip was regular and she responded quickly to our questions. We were picked up from the airport and the itinerary for the next few days was explained to us in detail at the hotel. Our guides Kashi and Zunga were very attentive and told us a lot about the nature on Kilimanjaro and the history and culture of the country. The food was excellent and varied. Steven was also always concerned for our well-being and to fulfill our little extra wishes. Overall, everyone was very friendly.

The right balance of challenge and comfort on the Marangu route. The trail was not busy and overall quite clean. The huts are great and helped keep equipment dry. The guide was Dustin and he was very attentive to my needs, health and overall experience. With his support I made it to the peak! The Springlands hotel staff are very helpful. Amadeus in reception was always ready to help, Jack is an exceptional waiter at the restaurant and Linda was a great coordinator. Also Jane helped me navigate some communication between the hotel and the tour operator. Although there were a few communication problems, World Adventure Tours acknowledged the problem and found a solution in a very fair and reasonable way. I was satisfied with how they dealt with the situation and give them my highest recommendation based on their response. Big thanks to Joyce Gitumbi who went out of her way to ensure I was satisfied with the experience in Tanzania.

Our Kilimanjaro trek with World Adventure Tours was perfectly organized from start to finish. We had support from very experienced crew consisting of a cook, six porters and two guides. Their attention to detail, safety and great care exercised by the team made us feel that we were in good hands. Trekking up the slopes was challenging however we made it safely to the summit. We are happy with everything about this trek from the food, highly skilled climbing crew and excellent equipment availed. We highly recommend.

I just completed the Machame 8 days trek with my brother Fedde and it was everything we expected and much more. The experience is tough but doable if you go with a solid operator like WAT who provide the best of everything from highly the experienced professional crew, excellent equipment and a great support system overall. We both reached the summit safely and are planning to take another trip with WAT soon.

Many of the places that we visited prior to this trip did not match our expectations……..but not our six days Marangu route Kilimanjaro with World Adventure Tours. What we did in those nine days seems impossible, and would not have happened without the wonderful support of mountain guide Tarimo and his wonderful team. The views on the trail are incredible and we made it safely to Uhuru Peak. This is one of the best achievements of my life and I am happy to have selected an amazing company.

My husband and I just completed our successful summit of Kilimanjaro 5 day Marangu route. We had an amazing experience with the great crew who went above and beyond to ensure that we summited safely. The guided us well teaching us many things about the mountain. Our health was well taken care of with regular safety check every morning and evening, great food served hot accompanied by fruits and vegies. It was just awesome, trekking with the jovial crew. The equipment was of excellent quality where the tents kept us warm and dry in the cold rainy nights. I highly recommend World Adventure Tours for their excellence and enchanting nature during our successful trek.

Trekking up Mt. Kilimanjaro with my brother and sister supported by the World Adventure Tours climbing team was the experience of a lifetime. We decided to use the 5 day Marangu route as we have some experience. The booking process was a smooth experience that was made easy by the friendliness and professionalism of the reservations team. The climb was not easy but the support of the professional, cheerful, helpful, and encouraging guides coupled with excellent climbing equipment played a big part in the success of our trek. I remember the summit night because it was the most difficult section of the trek and I would not have made it to the summit without the support of Alex my guide and would have missed the wonderful experience of watching the glorious sunrise from the roof of Africa. I recommend World Adventure Tours as they are an amazing company with great equipment and professionals for crew. Closing remarks: Rent the chemical toilet and avoid the fuss at the public toilets!

My sister and I recently did the 5 days Kilimanjaro Marangu route with World Adventure Tours. The booking and payment process was smooth without any hitch. When we arrived in Tanzania we found a representative from World Adventure Tours waiting for us at the airport with a huge smile. We were transferred to Springlands hotel where we met with Nteze our chief guide. He briefed us on the climb and also inspected our climbing gear. The next day, we met the rest of the crew; assistant guide Martin, eight porters and Samson our cook. The team was supportive, energetic, cheerful, friendly, and professional. That was the perfect combination for the most enjoyable climb of my life. We were lucky that we did not suffer altitude sickness and succeeded in getting to the Roof of Africa-Uhuru Peak. Samson is a great cook and made us delicious meals up that mountain! We had an epic time with World Adventure Tours and I recommend them with full confidence!

My partner and I had an amazing time during Kilimanjaro Climb using the Marangu route with Word Adventure Tour. We were referred to this amazing company by our friends John and Jan who did Kilimanjaro with them last year and we are happy we heeded their advice. The booking process was flawless, all our emails and queries were promptly answered. We did our payment securely in 2 transfers. We continued conversing with World Adventure Tour up to the moment when we arrived in Tanzania and found a representative waiting for us. He helped with our luggage and transferred us to Springlands Hotel in Moshi town. Later in the afternoon we met with Amos the chief guide and his able assistant Jack. They did a detailed briefing of the climb and also inspected our climbing gear. We were lucky that we were the only climbers in our group as such enjoying more privacy and the full attention of the climbing crew. The actual climb was very well organized and went on very smoothly. The climb started at the Marangu gate following the trail into the deep mountain forest full of birds and different monkey species followed by heath and giant lobelias opening up to the bare rocky saddle connecting Kibo and Mawenzi which had amazing views of the summit and trails below. Amos and Jack were very knowledgeable about the mountain and excellent conversationalists. They answered all our questions explained the various points in detail. The other support crew of porters and cook also performed excellently. The food was also very good and freshly prepared with the cook serving us huge helpings. I will never forget the summit night because we set of for the summit at midnight. The climb was long and strenuous and I almost gave up but Amos never left my side encouraging me and at dawn we made to the summit. We were very impressed by the way World Adventure Tour did everything. We got first class support of professional and experienced crew, top class equipment that kept us warm and dry and wonderful company for a very reasonable price. I recommend Word Adventure Tour without any reservations

What our customers ask about this tour

The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.
    • Where does this tour start and finish?

Your Kili climb starts and finishes in Moshi, usually at Springlands Hotel or a similar standard of accommodation of your choice. This will be your home away from home, a great climbers base to get settled in and make all the preparations you need to make before your climb and where you will be coming back to after your climb for a well-deserved hot shower and celebration with your team.

    • What is the average group size for this tour?

The average group size around 8 people, minimum 2 people.

    • What type of accommodation is used for this tour?

Expect a practical and climber-friendly accommodation. The usual accommodation before a Kili climb is Springlands Hotel. This is a comfortable and practical hotel, perfect for climbers. The rooms have many options. You can be in doubles, triples, or even have four people share a room. The rooms are clean and comfortable - no frills. The surroundings are green, and you can get fantastic views of the mountain on a clear day. You can rent any equipment you may need from their well equipped rental store. There is a pool, sauna, small gift shop, wifi and a wonderful Garden bar where you can sit underneath guava trees and enjoy a beer or a cup of coffee.

    • Can I join this tour after it's already departed?

Unfortunately not, once the tour has started then you will need to book another start date for your climb. We want you to experience the best possible trek and avoid stressing to catch up with the other climbers. This trip is a lifetime achievement, and it needs the proper time allocated for a climb. We have climbs departing daily, so no stress, we can book you in.

    • How much time is spent at each attraction?

On the climb you spend one night per hut. You can add in extra nights at the same camp to spend a little more time, a perfect way to acclimatize, enjoy the landscape by taking a day trek and increase your chances of reaching the summit.

    • How much time is spent driving/on the bus each day?

You will be picked up at the airport before the start of your trip, and if it is Kilimanjaro Airport, then the drive to your hotel in Moshi, is approximately 45 minutes.

The drive to your starting point on the mountain, from your Hotel in Moshi is approximately, 1 hours drive.

    • What is the physical rating for this tour?

You need to be generally healthy before a Kili climb, so no serious health conditions, that goes without saying. The interesting part about climbing Kili is that, a lot comes down to the mental determination of the climber rather than their physical conditioning or strength. Ofcourse, if you are well trained then you will most likely adjust quicker to the physical aspects of the climb but remember, that there is also the altitude that needs to be taken into consideration, and everyone reacts differently to this. The important part is to be well prepared, follow the instructions of your guide, because they prepare you to make the summit according to your individual capabilities. Drinking lots of water helps a lot! One more thing to take seriously, is the choice of route and number of days to be considered alongside your physical rating. The Marangu is known as the Coca-Colar Route, because it is considered the kindest of routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. The accommodation is in Huts, which also makes this route more comfortable. The Machame Route, is known as the Whiskey route because it is a harder trek to climb compared to the Marangu Route. The Lemosho route is known for its epic landscapes, and special because you go through a jungle with an armed ranger. But if you are extra nervous about making it to the summit, then adding in acclimatization days increases you chance of making it to the summit and this can be done on all routes. So, route choice and number of days is important to factor in with your physical capabilities.

    • Do you charge a single supplement fee or can I be matched with another solo traveller?

You can be matched with another solo traveller for the climb. Please note that if you want a Single Room at the Hotel, the night before and after your climb, then you will need to pay a single room supplement.

    • Do you arrange airport transfers?

Yes, our tours include pick up and drop off at the airport, before and after your trip.

    • Can you assist with booking additional accommodation?

Yes, you just let us know if you have any specific preferences when it comes to accommodation and we will help you book it. Even if you need advice picking accommodation, you just let us know what criteria you have and we will find the best possible options for you!
