Had wonderful days full of impressions and experiences. Everything worked out well, starting with the pickup at the airport, the hotel, the tours and finally the return transport to the airport. I was especially surprised that I was the only participant, so I got a very personal tour with the driver and the guide. I was free to bring in my wishes as well, but this was largely not necessary because the guide Ashraf was very competent and showed me beautiful places with a lot of knowledge. In August it was very hot, but few tourists, so I did not have to queue anywhere and it was not crowded. I can highly recommend the camel tour at the pyramids. Alexandria is also worth the trip in any case. To the light show at the Sphinx I went with Uber. In the evening there is plenty of time for your own activities. Just inform yourself beforehand or ask the guide or in the hotel. Food delivered to the hotel is also no problem. I had booked a single room, which I do not regret. The Pyramids Planet Hotel has a nice terrace with a view of the pyramids. Personally, the highway did not bother me. With driver and guide I always felt safe and did not have to worry about anything. He can arrange anything. Don't hesitate. - CSCathryn· August 8th, 2019Our guide was amazing — great knowledge base and very accommodating. Our driver was also Mohammed and he was the best driver we could have asked for. He waited more than 3 hours for us at the airport when our flight was delayed. Our last night, he took us to the Nile River Cruise that we missed the first day because of the delay. The itinerary was great and allowed ample time for everything. Our only regret is not being able to visit the Library of Alexandria. This was a big disappointment because if we knew we couldn’t go, we would’ve booked a tour to Luxor or somewhere else instead. Nobody’s fault though, the library was closed for a private event on a local holiday. Our tour director, Peter, was also very accommodating answering questions day or night and always very prompt and professional. Overall, book this trip!
