Up close sightings from the safari van, of Ungandan kob, bush job, water bucks, water buffaloes, elephants, hippo, warthogs, and male lions. Be sure to take a boat cruise of the Kazinga Channel for close encounters with families of hippos, elephants, water buffaloes, possibly crocodiles. Stay at the Queen Elisabeth Bush Lodge for the highest level of food, service, accommodations, and security. Fabulous leisurely views of the Kazinga Channel from atop the bluff of elephant and hippo families. Visit the Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve for a good hike and chimpanzee tracking/trekking. If traveling far on safari you’ll get refreshed at fine oasis along the route. The hilly route from Kampala to Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth is verdant and spectacular.Show moreTrip date: June 2024- Krista· June 12th, 2024Enchanted Ugandan Safaris was the most incredible experience. Of course we saw beautiful countryside, animals, and cities. Our guide knew all the right spots to stop for meals, lodging, sightseeing, tea, and photo opportunities. Our driver was Bosco and became a friend. He took excellent care of us. We had a traveling companion who needed just a little help with mobility and Bosco was always there to lend a hand. He was very conscientious. We ate delicious and interesting foods. Saw elephants, hippopotamuses, warthogs, kobs, many birds, lions, water bucks, and more. We took a boat tour which got us very close to hippos and elephants. Everything was arranged for us. We just had to hop in the truck and go along for the ride.Show moreTrip date: June 2024

From the beginning he was transparent and made the absolute best of our budget in terms of accommodation and activities. At no extra charge, he was even flexible and rebooked everything when we got sick shortly before the original date. During the safari Bosco was always polite, reserved but also funny. Next time we would definitely book with Enchanted Uganda Safaris again. But please fix the roof before ;-)Show more
