- LWLucy· April 25th, 2024My 3 day tour of the Shira Plateau and West Kilimanjaro has to be one of the best bike rides I’ve ever done. My guide, Hillary, from One Bike listened carefully to what I wanted to do and created a tour that perfectly fitted the brief. Cycling at 3,800m is not for the faint hearted but worth the effort for the views and incredible environment. Cycling through villages and plains of west Kilimanjaro was amazing - wildlife, warm people, views to die for. Also stayed in two wonderful lodges. A MUST for any cyclist!Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- Loes· November 26th, 2021Had a great experience with one bike! I went to wateruni falls and the west kili tour. Both were really great with good guides. We had a lot of fun! The landscapes are really pretty and different (dry and really green). Nice to know more about the Masaai and we even saw some wild animals! With the Materuni tour I really enjoyed swimming in the waterfall after climbing uphill with bike.Show moreTrip date: November 2021
- SSolenePerbost· October 20th, 2021What an amazing experience! Hillary, my guide and the founder of One Bike, was very accomodating and did everything to make sure that I had a great time. They even tailored the trip to make it fit with my budget. The landscape are beautiful and we even got the chance to see girafs, zebras and antilopes very very close by. During the two days, we also cycled through a lot of Maasai villages and saw how they lived. We then spent a night at the Maasai village Olpopongi and I can only recommend this wonderful experience: the people are very welcoming, they told me a lot about the Maasai culture and the nature with the view of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro is just breathtaking. I 100% recommend it, thanks again to the OneBike team for making this experience so great.Show moreOne Bike Tanzania commented on this reviewHello Solene, Thank you very much for trusting our service and we are glad that you enjoyed every moment of this experience. - HHelenStevens· May 21st, 2021Three days of biking was a blast with Hillary and Octavian as our competent and knowledgeable guides! The bikes were excellent, and the well-chosen routes offered non-stop stunning views of mountains, plains, and countless safari animals. The trip was so easy because they had planned every detail perfectly, from the airport pick-up to each night’s beautiful accommodations and every delicious meal. Having a vehicle to carry our stuff (and us, when we were tired) meant we could just focus on having fun, biking, and taking in the sights and cultural experiences. We highly recommend this unique way to see Tanzania and experience the Maasai culture!Show moreOne Bike Tanzania commented on this reviewHi Hellen, Thank you very much for trusting our service and we are glad that you enjoyed the whole experience with us. - semih· May 17th, 2021We highly recommend touring with OneBike. In the planning stages, OneBike staff were excellent communicators who were flexible and accommodating in tailoring a 3-day tour to meet all of our goals. The trip itself exceeded our expectations on every front by combining biking with a traditional safari and cultural program. It was amazing to bike amidst safari animals, interact with local people and learn about Maasai culture. A wide range of cyclers can partake, even kids, because those who want a break can ride in the support vehicle. Hillary and Octavian were friendly, professional, knowledgeable guides who shared fascinating information about the area's flora and fauna as well as the local and tribal cultures, while Octavian was an experienced, careful and safe driver. We stayed in beautiful lodges with comfortable accommodations and delicious, locally grown food. If you like biking and outdoor adventures and want to have a new experience that is a twist on traditional the safari, go with OneBike!Show moreOne Bike Tanzania commented on this reviewThank you very much for choosing One Bike and trusting our service. If you want to discover the region of Kilimanjaro, I definitely recommend to have a ride trip with these guys. Good to know : it's possible to customize a tour depending on your free time, it was perfect for me and price was really attractive. I particularly recommend to see the Hotsprings and the Materuni Waterfall. The landscapes are beautiful and it was not crowded at all when we were there.
