I am disappointed with the fact that most of the attractions on our route were either closed for renovations, or closed because we were not at the site during the designated hours The tour basically ended up being a long taxi ride (most of the time with the front windows rolled open so he didn’t need to turn on the AC…in Morocco…in the summer) with hotel stays included. Speaking of hotels, the “Odyssee” in Casablanca was really dirty. There were cigarette burns in the bedding and the floor to the bathroom looked like it was mopped with dirty water and never dried. Ismail· July 26th, 20193 great days from Marrakech to Fes Travelling from Marrakesh to Fes seemed rather daunting by my own means.The trip is orgnized at the last minute, 2 days only in advance, and still got a tour. Amanar, the guide everybody is raving about was not available and I was a bit disappointed. But I ended up having a wonderful tour with Abdelatif who organized, planned and explained every step of the tour for me. He shared a lot of his extensive knowledge of his country and its culture with a modern perspective that made it all the more interesting. I felt very included, invited to impromptu berber music jamming sessions or exchanging on the differences between our respective countries (Canada vs Morocco). All this to say : great tour, highly recommended. And don't worry if you do not end up having Amanar as a guide. Abdelatif can still make it a customized, enriching and memorable trip.
