Our guide in Luxor was knowledgeable, but not up to par. We were allowed lots of free time and could explore the sites with the information he gave us. I would definitely recommend Samah as a guide for your trips in Giza and Sakarrah! He picked us up from our hostel and let us stop for snacks or water when we needed it.
