When we met our group the first night, our guide Kate said ""You came for the mountains, and I hope you leave with the people."" Well...the mountains were incredible and the people even more so! It was an amazing trip.

Strangely, hiking the Himalayas had never made it onto my list of must-see places but I signed up because of an email and I have really enjoyed my Active trips in the past. Now that I've been I think it is a place everyone should see; the mountain range will take your breath away and the people of Nepal literally welcome you with open arms.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek exceeded my expectations! The Himalayas are awe inspiring! DK and Gokul are exceptional at their job and made my time in Nepal an unforgettable experience.

I went initially for the scenery and the adventure, but I was touched by the people and the culture. It was an amazing experience I will never forget. Thanks Active Adventures!

Scenery is spectacular and the local people are the friendliest and most accommodating than in any other remote locale I have visited. More strenuous than expected is how I describe the trekking and awe inspiring is how I describe the mountains and trails. This is a trip I would recommend for the physically fit to conquer the terrain and mentally fit to accept the substandard accommodations.

The views were breathtaking. Only critique is that all the cold weather gear on list wasn't needed at all. It was pretty warm. Guides were great and a lot of fun. Overall had a great time and met great people.

The trek through the Annapurna Sanctuary was outstanding. The guides and porters were excellent and all aspects of the trip were well planned and executed. I experienced some medical problems that were addressed by the guides and alternate plans made for me. Despite not continuing to the base camps, my experience was outstanding.

Thoroughly enjoyed this adventure of a lifetime. We had always wanted to trek the foothills of the Himalays and immerse into the Nepalese culture. All of this happened and more. Totally taken by surprise at the amount of hiking (up down thousands of stairs) necessary to be at the base of these majestic giants, but if you want to touch them you have to hike six days to get there; making this hiking achievement the most difficult we have yet experienced. ""All of the familiar signposts are not there""...making the reality of having truly been on an adventure so real and so never happened before. All of this was the result of an extremely qualified God given truly gifted leader, D.K., followed by the best people I have known Arjun, Bahrat, and the six other porters that teach lessons in life on humility, love, and perseverance. To the inn keepers at tea houses, how wonderful, fresh, wholesome the food prepared was...they make the best French fries. The rest will live in my head and the views of Annapurna 1,2,3, South; Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli--great times with fellow hikers (now friends)...I'll take them all to the next world.

This trip was spectacular in every way -- challenging trekking amid the jaw-dropping magnificence of the high peaks, exposure to the warm and gracious Nepali people and culture, expert leadership and strong comraderie of the group. Simply said, an A++ experience.
