Jennifer· January 9th, 2023Nepal was really something to see and I was very happy that I went. Our guide, Ram, was very good and the front office staff at the Gokarna Forest Resort was extremely kind and helpful. However, there were a few things that prevent me from giving this trip a five star rating: 1. I've traveled to 50 countries and never in my life have I had a driver picking me up at the airport see me, catch my eye, turn his back to me, start walking away, and leave me to carry my own bags to the car. 2. Gokarna Forest Resort was very nice, but completely isolated. Because of that we wasted at least two hours one day going back and forth, which also could have been avoided if the company had arranged a boxed breakfast for us the day of our Everest flight. Thank goodness Ram helped us change our hotel for the second part of our stay to a more central location. 3. This trip was touted as a luxury trip, but the hotel we moved to was 3 stars, not 5. It was fine, but not what was advertised. 4. We thought we'd be on a group tour, but it was just my friend and I. However, that ended up being a good thing, so I'm not complaining about that at all!Show more
