- judy· October 28th, 2023Bad quality of tour guide and communication October 2023 We had a island hopping tour including Santa Fe, North Seymour, Bartolome and Kicker Rick in San Cristobal. The tour guides they work with is not the same quality. Unfortunately the most important island for us to North Seymour and Bartolome we had a not professional tour guide. He is too lazy to climb up the mountain and just show us where to take pictures without giving any knowledge or information about the landscape and wildlife. Everyone is upset in the group, but when we reported to the travel agent, the next day with the same guide, he treated as very bad on purpose we can feel that.It is not very good experience. As the first trip to Santa Fe, the ship is too small for 13 people, the wave is also too big to go out. Few people vomit and my husband did also, we asked for one more towel on the boat, but they refused to give us. I don’t understand why is so hard. The guide is not nice for us, he just want to get the tour done, he didn’t share so much information and very strict about his rules. It was very terrible experience like a disaster for us. Also, the communication between agent and guides has problems. The car didn’t pickup us at the correct place in the morning, since I already gave them the right direction of our hotel. And double check the day before. The guide still went to the wrong place, and not even called us just left. We had not choice but to take a taxi by ourselves to catch the boat. Of course they refund us the cost, just annoying to have something happened like this. The last day, we should be pickup from the hotel to the airport. Again the guide with a car they called for us didn’t show up again. We don’t have time to wait them to arrange another taxi, but to go by ourselves. When I texted the agent about it, they only said we will check what’s going on. Until now, after 3 weeks we already came back home, they didn’t reply anything, not even an apology. The end of the trip they never ask how was it or anything. Please consider to book with other agent to arrange your tour. Their price is much higher than you book individually. And the quality is not the same as they promised.Show moreNature Galapagos & Ecuador commented on this reviewDear Judy, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to the multiple errors. - Marlene· February 21st, 2023Overall, it was a good tour, and kept us quite busy. I would have preferred to have an extra day in Santa Cruz and one less day and Isabella. We had a very nice room for our two night stay in Santa Cruz, but the room in which we spent four nights in the Isabella was far from adequate. It had no amenities, and the host lady, or manager, was quite unfriendly and uninviting, making it difficult to ask her for anything. The room was not kept clean on a daily basis, and the room and bathroom were extremely small. Bathroom was so small I could barely turn around in it.Show moreNature Galapagos & Ecuador commented on this reviewDear Marlene, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent tour experience. - YRYelena· January 10th, 2023I typically don't write reviews, but with this tour I think there is so much room for improvement, that I thought I'd write my recommendations. First, the volcano tour - it's 6 hours long! Very exhausting! So many in our group gave up half way and missed the most interesting part. I think it's not fair to pay crazy money and not be able to do the activity. Our guide could care less if you were able to do it or not. Perhaps the park could add horse and buggies to take people to the half way point so they could enjoy the volcano views. Otherwise don't bother taking this tour, it's a waste of time and money. My family was able to do the walk, though my son was so exhausted he was in bed with fever the next day and a half missing the other tours. Of course noone bothered to reimburse us for the missed tours. Anyway, after the volcano tour in the morning the same guide took us to snorkeling tour in the afternoon and again, he could care less if you could snorkel or not. Instead of providing everyone with life jackets and taking the entire group to snorkeling places he took the strong swimmers and left behind everyone else. This is not what I paid for. Two other snorkel tours the following days were much better organized and the guides actually cared and wanted you to enjoy the tours, so we actually got to snorkel with sea turtles which was the highlight of this trip, great experience. As far as organization - everything was well organized on Isabela Island. We got a list of activities and the meeting times and what to bring, how to dress, the guy was so accommodating, so 5 stars for that. What a contrast with Santa Cruz where we were always confused about where and what, so organization in Santa Cruz could definitely be improved even if it's just 1 night. Food was ok everywhere, I guess it's Galapagos, don't expect much. Same for wifi - you'll have internet detox for a few days. We were happy to arrive to Quito and get normal connection.Show moreNature Galapagos & Ecuador commented on this reviewDear Yelena, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent tour experience.
