Payment is due tomorrow or the holiday will be cancelled but despite multiple contacts with them by chat or email they have been unable to confirm extra pre departure dates in Chennai. I put this down to local chaos or apparent incompetence. It looks as though I could book this hotel for the dates I want in 2 minutes online but I want the joined up experience with Intrepid. - ACaitlin M· September 18th, 2019The main reason I gave the trip experience a 5 was because of our trip leader, Abhimanyu. He did an excellent job from Day 1-he was prompt, friendly, informative and genuinely cared about our wellbeing/enjoyment of our time in India. Abhi consistently went above and beyond throughout the duration of the trip-from explaining every item on the menu to each of us at every restaurant and making sure our food wasn't too spicy to making sure we had the best rooms in each hotel/wifi as soon as we arrived. He frequently checked in with each of us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and to ask if we had any specific interests/requests each time we arrived in a new place. He went above and beyond on numerous occasions, including waking up at 5 am when I wanted to see the sunrise in Pondicherry, letting me borrow money when my ATM card was not working, and letting me use his personal cell phone data when I couldn't connect to wifi. I was shocked to learn that Abhi was only 25 years old because he was so professional and handled himself so well. I was really impressed by this. Abhi is a great tour leader and I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. I believe that on a trip like this, the trip leader can make or break the trip and Abhi definitely made it! :) If possible, I would love to see him recognized above and beyond just receiving a ""5"", as I truly believe he deserves it.Show moreTrip date: December 2018
