- TTTed· October 19th, 2023Crew and staff: 5 Stars; Food 3 Stars. What brings the whole experience down to 3 Stars is simple: I did not receive the cruise TourRadar sold me. I did not experience the itinerary TourRadar advertised and sent me. The specifics are: 1) TourRadar told me that the cruise operator would be Perfecta Travel. That turned out to not be true. The cruise operator was I.D.Riva tours. 2) The itinerary TourRadar sent me stated that on Day 1, after embarkation from Trogir, lunch would be served, and so we would get to enjoy the famous cuisine of Split for dinner. 3) The itinerary TourRadar sent me - and what was advertised on the TourRadar website - was for Day 2 to sail to Hvar, where we would spend the night and get to enjoy the famous food and hospitality of that town. 4) Neither happened! There was no lunch on the ship; instead, a dinner was provided on ship. The food was Slavonian, not Dalmatian, and not very good. The next day we were allowed just 2 hours, mid-afternoon, in Hvar! One of the most famous tourist and dining places on the Croatian coast, and we were deprived of the chance to enjoy it. 5) What was very dissatisfying was that no-one from I.D. Riva cam on our ship to explain why the itinerary had to change. I spoke to some other passengers who had not booked through TourRadar - English, and Germans (who booked through I.D. Riva) - all said that their promised itineraries also were changed without notice. 6) Why the changes? No-one on ship knew. I heard from captain and crew that the itinerary might have to change because of I.D. Riva not having arranged tour guides for Dubrovnik, or might have changed because I.D. Riva failed to get the port/marina bearth/dock bookings. Both potential reasons are poor excuses for bad planning/arrangements. 7) So, deprived of any significant time in Hvar, what did we get in return? We got a night at Makarska, a coastal village of little tourist repute. Around half of the restaurants in town had already closed for the season! This was a poor substitute for the promised time in Hvar. 8) I want to re-iterate that the ship's crew was great. It wasn't their fault that I.D. Riva had changed the itinerary significantly without explanation. I also received nice pre-cruise help from Ivan at Perfecta Travel in Zagreb. (I thought, as TourRadar had stated, that his company would be the operator of the cruise.) The ship's food was pretty mediocre, but for a small ship docking at some very small island ports I give some allowance. Each day the ship stopped at some small inlet or cove so we could swim in the sea. Those were fantastic experiences. 9) Would I go back to the Dalmatian coast again? Yes, absolutely. Would I count on TourRadar to deliver a cruise as advertised and sold? No, I would not. No information I received from TourRadar indicated any possibility of itinerary change. Would I consider any cruise or other tour through I.D. Riva - which thinks so little of their passengers that they did not inform them of significant changes to their cruise itinerary? Absolutely not.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- MTmichael· October 11th, 2023The tour itself was very good, the crew was friendly, the ship very satisfactory, the food OK (tended to be over-cooked). The biggest drawback was that there were a large number of "smokers" on the tour, perhaps 30-40% of the passengers. Unfortunately, there was no smoking prohibition in the aft lounge, which was enclosed for several days due to windy/rainy weather. Also, the crew members took their smoke-breaks there.. It made for a very unpleasant situation. I strongly recommend that this issue be addressed for the health and enjoyment of your future passengers. Are there non-smoking tours? Perhaps, a smoking area can be designated for the benefit of all. Thanks. MIchaelShow moreTrip date: August 2023
- MMMark· September 24th, 2023Relaxing trip sailing around the Croatian islands with a swim stop and different port overnight every day. Guided tours of Split, Dubrovnik and Trogir. Cannot fault the boat, crew or itinerary. Cabins very comfortable. The lunches were adequate on board (breakfasts and Captain's table dinner were good). Drinks were quite pricey. At the time of year we went all the other passengers were German and retired.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- ASAnton· August 8th, 2023It was a great tour! Very friendly staf, superb food really amazing and nice places where we stayed. The only thing we missed was a little bit of information. On the two trips however, in Dubrovnik and in Trogir there was a really good guide. So all in all a very nice experience.Show moreTrip date: July 2023
- Debra· July 31st, 2023We had a wonderful time holidaying in croatia but this is not a tourist sightseeing tour. There was limited time in the destination cities so not able to see much. But the boat was very comfortable, the food was good and the swimstops were beautiful. I would definitely recommendShow moreTrip date: July 2023
- Barb· July 27th, 2021Had an awesome tour! It was exactly as advertised! The ship looked brand new- cabins were comfortable with plenty of storage and bathrooms were large with nice showers! The staff was great and very attentive! We stopped twice a day at wonderful swimming spots- our perfect weather helped with that! Meals were yummy and always plentiful!
