- MJMary· October 3rd, 2017Took the Eastern capitals and Dalmatian Riviera tour with Insight Vacations from 9-16-17 to 9-30-17. Our tour guide Sharon Tooman was outstanding. Her knowledge of the places we visited, her patience with our slower senior members and her grace under fire with a very difficult travel mate was commendable. - GSGail· May 3rd, 2017Currently on this tour. While we have had a great time there have been some issues and misleading info. First off, this tour does NOT stay in Split or Dubrovnik as stated in brochure. We feel this is false advertising. The reason given: "no 5 star hotels in these places". Really? I googled 5 star hotels and found them. Two of three places that we most wanted to see were these. We were 30 MINUTES from Dubrovnik, not walkable and too long to take cab. This is false advertising! Also some of hotels we were told on tour weren't quite 5 star, but were 3 star....yet we can't stay IN Split which is absolutely gorgeous, of the stunning town of Dubrovnik? The optional excursions are all over priced. If you choose not to go, you're on your own....if you're too far away from city centers it's a pain.Show moreTrip date: April 2017
