Ralph· November 28th, 2023This was an amazing tour. I was picked up and dropped off at the airport. The hotel that was booked (Mercure) was really good. It had a nice jungle setting. The pool and hot tub were pleasant as it had a bar. The food and stuff were just as nice. The first day of the tour was on the Brazilian side. Our guide, Carlos, was kool. We were lucky and he took care of the immigration stuff. After a short ride, we got to the falls. To say that I was in awe is an understatement. Although the Brazilian side tour was a little short; just a 2 hour-ish walking tour, I would have liked some more time to just stroll. The next day was the Argentine side of the falls. It was another 2 hour-ish stroll. The views were impressive. We were able to see some wildlife. After seeing the falls from multiple viewpoints, we had lunch. Watch out for the monkeys. After that it was the boat ride. It was the most insane experience. They took us up mad close to the falls. We got drenched, but they gave us a bag to put our cameras and other things you didn't want to get wet in. You can get a poncho, but it'll only help to a certain degree. Walk with a gopro or a waterproof case for your phone. We couldn't do the train ride or walk in the middle of the falls because a few weeks prior, there was a massive flooding event and it took out pieces of the walkway and track. We had no idea why we ended up with sol iguasu agent which tour radar did not mentioned at all. I guess Tour Radar subcontracted our package to Signature Tour in Buenos Aires and Signature Tour subcontracted to Sol Iguasu. Turned out that no one picked us up at iguasu airport and we had no idea which hotel we supposed to stay!! No emergency contact phone numbers and we don't speak Spanish, sitting at the airport in panic mode. Prior to the tour they provided an itinerary that did not reflect what was offered on the website. When brought it to the company's attention, it took them quite a while to get back with a different itinerary, by that time it was close to our departure that I did not have time to look carefully what was offered. When we got to Iguazu, we were not taken to the bird park o. The Brazilian side and the last day, the half day trip of the city we had to pay for our own entrance fee which was supposed to be included. I felt it was bait and switch. - HMHeather· September 20th, 2022The tour ran very smoothl from the time our guide met us at the airport to the time we were dropped back at the airport. The guide & driver were there when promised. There was the right balance between time with & without the guide. The real benefit was being able to skip the queues ( particularly at the Brazil- Argentinian border) & having someone point you to the best spots & where to go. In the big crowds this made paying for the guided tour pay for itself a 100 times over. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable on the local butterflies, animals, geography- anything you asked about he knew & could explain which made the trip much more interesting. We upgraded the accommodation to the Loi Suites which were absolutely fantastic.
