  To summarize: this trip is an absolute dream come true. Highly recommended with zero doubts! We absolutely loved our tour of Tanzania mainland with Great Lake Expedition. Everything was perfectly done and taken care of. All started with a smooth and easy booking process, addressing all our wishes and preferences and adjusting the itinerary multiple times. You can trust all tips Great Lake Expedition offers, they are really expert in what to do and where to stay. Pickup service after landing was smooth and we were brought to the first hotel to rest before the upcoming safaris. The next day our 5 days safari started and we were pickup up by our private guide and driver Yonathan!! We want to highlight him as the perfect companion for this trip. He did an outstanding job in driving us and showing us all 4 national parks in detail and giving us stories and background information on everything along the way, including all animals, the history of the country, the people and their stories, the culture/food. He was always there to lift the mood with great Tanzanian music, a good story and his very positive mindset and attitude. With his experience in game drives, we were able to spot all Big5 in this short amount of days by connecting with other drivers and always keeping an eye on the perfect location to spot the animals. Every lodge recommended by Great Lake Expedition had a different vibe and was special on its own. All were super well organized, offered great food and a unique experience. All in all, it was a great week in Tanzania while never feeling nervous about anything and we were able to enjoy the full Safari experience! 5/5 points to Great Lake Expedition for offering this trip.

  We had an amazing trip, Roster helped to tailor it to exactly what we wanted and she answered any questions that we had. Our guide, Robert, was brilliant. He was really friendly, had great knowledge about the wildlife and he has amazing eyesight! He spotted so many sightings that we wouldn't have seen ourselves. He was also very respectful of the animals which we really appreciated. We definitely recommend Robert as a guide! We were lucky to see so many beautiful animals in their natural habitat which was such an amazing experience. Our chef, Antony, was brilliant. We are both vegan so we were worried we wouldn't have much to eat but he went above and beyond to make sure we were well fed. He made us vegan pizza, pasta, curries, beans, pancakes and more and it was all delicious!.we highly re command Great Lake Expedition to any one who wants to experience the beauty of Tanzania wildlife.

  We went on a Safari and chose Great Lake Expedition as an outfitter. From the very first contact I understood I made the right decision for our trip. Raphael understood our needs and prepared an expedition we will never forget! They truly understand what they do, and they based on their knowledge and expertise they have exceeded our expectations. Not only that, they provided a lot of support while we faced complications to land at Kilimanjaro airport because of flight delays/cancellations. The tour guides assigned to us, Honest & Ignus are legends! All of what they have shown and explained was unbelievable

  5 full day safari went bye like a dream, filled with elephants, giraffes, zebras, leopards, lions and so much more. The driver/guide was great at spotting animals, his explanations good, but not to much for my children - 3 active boys who enjoyed every minute. The company organized everything, from the food to the place for picnic, the lovely tented lodges and even the PCR-Covid test in the middle of the Serengeti. The guide and all personnel at the lodges wore masks and there were no large gatherings, so that we felt safe: It was the perfect vacation in time of pandemic, as it was only us in the jeep and we had little contact with other people.

  Our 5 day Tanzania safari was absolutely life changing! Great Lake Expedition didn't fail us in any way - from the time we started planning and customizing our adventure, to landing in Kilimanjaro, being greeted by drivers and staff, to hotel, camps, inter-flights, and final days for a quick trip to Zanzibar. The trip experience was stress-free because of Great Lake Expedition's professionalism and staff. We have traveled to many countries and can honestly say this trip was the best ever, a dream come true and checked off our bucket. We may return again in the future.

  In the midst of a health crisis, making this trip was an exploit and a risky undertaking. Largely facilitated by the impeccable quality of the service provided by Great Lake Expedition and rewarded by the magnificent safari that we achieved. Exceptional sites, animals in abundance, admirable lodges, a unique experience (almost no tourists, very good for us, and very sad for Tanzania) and above all a Great Lake Expedition team, Damsoni and our driver guide Johnson at the top. More than a guide, Johnson shared his love of Tanzania and nature, his curiosity to others, his beautiful benevolence. "Cherry on the cake": his eyes are "bionic"!! The king of the spot: he sees invisible animals while driving safely. And at the end an unforgettable trip, in a beautiful country, with very welcoming and warm people. The beginning of the stay with a night and a day in the Masai village was wonderful. The end in a Tented Camp and the observation of the "crossing river" by the wildebeest at Mara River was magical. Thanks to Damsoni, Johnson, Raphaeli (who waited with us for our plane) and the whole Great Lake Expedition team. Ahsante sana
