- Sparkling Lake Formarin: Idyllic, sparkling and nestled between countless mountain peaks, Lake Formarin is around 1,793 metres above sea level. This is where the Lechweg begins.
- Crossing the longest pedestrian bridge in Austria: 200 metres long and 110 metres above the Höhenbach Gorge – spectacular, but definitely not for the faint of heart. The breathtaking suspension bridge is on the programme for day five. There is no getting around it from Holzgau to Elbigenalp. So, gather up your courage and experience a real adrenaline-filled highlight.
- Even more active experiences: If you haven’t had enough after the day’s stage, you can do an ‘extra lap’ on one of the Lech loops. These hiking routes are designed as half-day or full-day tours and serve as a valuable addition to the Lechweg.

- Thomas· May 18th, 2024Highly recommend this trip. The days can be long but the views are worth it. Most of the route is paved so you can probably get away with hiking shoes or trail running shoes. There is luggage transfer available but I didn't need it. The route from Unken to Waidring could be updated but I was able to find an alternate route with the map. Before you start you're given the full itinerary with a navigation system on the app as well as paper copies of everything.Show more
- Scott· October 19th, 2022Beautiful country. The hotels were very comfortable, clean, and safe. the downside was I was the only person on my tour/ circuit. I was so hoping for there to be others that I could have run into and hiked with. However, it was near the end of the season. So my mistake. With Eurohike I had to prompt them to give me information. Like my hotel literary, and hike guide. also I learned after arriving that there was an app that was essential to navigating the trails. Since there are so many junctions and side trails on the course. It took 2 days to get the guide files. As a result for the first 2 days of hiking I lost track a few times & had to back track to get back on the desired trail. I'm sure if I was with other hikers this wouldn't have been as big a challenge. Overall a fairly great experience. Hopefully going to do another one with the lessons I have learned from this one.Show more
- Aidar· March 24th, 2025Well organized, no hiccups, beautiful scenery, good exercise (!), great hotels. I've enjoyed the trip quite a lot, there's nothing much to add here, really. One minor thing is that there was a bus pickup location specified towards the end of one of the hikes, it would've been nice to get picked up given you're in unfamiliar territory rather than fumbling your way around and hoping you get on the right bus and go where you're supposed to.Show more
