    Tour director and driver were excellent!!! We were very disappointed with the coach. Something happened and apparently we didn’t get the bus we were supposed to. This bus was old , dirty, the seats didn’t work, some of the windows lost their seal so it was hard to see out of them. The video system didn’t work for the tour director to show pictures. On a positive note the food was great and the accommodations were very nice. The director and driver took it all in stride and that helped. Guess when you spend the amount of money that you do on these trips you expect a little better.

    I had a very good experience. The hotel stays were fantastic. Todd our tour guide was very informative and took care of any problems quickly. Everything went very smoothly and we learned a lot and saw many beautiful and historical sites. I would highly recommend this tour.

    Nice bus with a very capable driver, very good travel destinations, great director that knew how to get his travelers engaged, very personable health advisor, and rotating seat everyday help learn and enjoy other people on this trip.

    There was not sufficient time given to stopping to view the scenery; the key point of taking the tour for me was to see the colours of the leaves. The itinerary included too many stops to find your lunch, allowing about 15 minutes to look at some shops in the towns along the route. It would have been better if we could have "packed lunches" which would have allowed for more structured site / scenery viewing and less time looking for cafes. The quality of the breakfasts varied significantly from hotel to hotel. Breakfast at The Sheraton in Portsmouth was almost inedible! Also, I was advised not to book flights before 3.00pm on the last day of the tour, necessitating me to book another night's accommodation in Boston at the end of the tour. In fact, the tour ended for me at 11.00am on the last day when I was dropped at the hotel; I could easily have caught a connecting flight that night had I known. The guide and driver were very helpful and kept things moving on time, and my fellow passengers were very friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my time on the tour, but I believe that the quality of food needs to be slightly improved, the consistency of that quality needs to be maintained throughout the tour and more consideration should to given to enabling structured time to be spent viewing scenery rather than spending a large chunk of the middle of most days finding food!

      • For any tour departing before January 27th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 27th, 2025, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
      • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Trafalgar will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
