- STSandra· December 21st, 2024We were very happy with all aspects of this tour. The hotels were all excellent, with great buffet breakfasts and large well appointed rooms. They were not far from the city centres, so cab fares were affordable. The 5 city tours with local guides were all very good. We only had drivers in small vans due to there being, at times, only the 2 of us. Mostly, we had 4 in the van, no problems there. The drivers were friendly, courteous and attentive. The company provided 1 extra meal a day, apart from breakfast, either lunch or dinner, much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VPT.Show more

Some hotels had not sufficient elevators so most of the time we walked the stairs. However most clients didn't have the physical ability to do so. When it comes to organization and communication of tour guides, that was a disaster. We traveled with Tourradar 8 years ago around Catalonia (from Barcelona) and we had no complaints about that trip. It was managed by professionals. I cannot say the same about this tour. It was sold as a tour with English speaking guide. Neither of the guides spoke reasonable English. They made no effort to organize the tour so we would know what will happen next or tomorrow. We didn't know what to expect next, where the restaurant is and what time is breakfast. Breakfast was usually good, dinner soso. The dinner was at 8:30 pm which was rather late since breakfast was at 7 am. The local guide in Toledo seemed to care very little whether or not the clients are able to keep up with her and information passed on to us was minimal. Overall the tour seemed to be wasting lot of time because of poor organization.
