Very happy with the cruise, great crew, good food, (except my wife would have preferred some smaller options at lunchtimes) excellent destinations but the choices of excursions were a little bland when doing them, plus NO bike options that were also mentioned within your itinerary?? I have no hesitation in recommending river cruising as it is a great way to travel and meet new people. many thanks again from us here in New ZealandShow more

The cruise itself was reasonable, but with one full day on the boat without any time ashore, and another with just 2 hours ashore, both during fairly un-scenic sections of the Rhine, there is definitely better planning required around sailing times and stopping-off points. At one stage Düsseldorf was missed out (apparently all docking berths were full!!) and the alternative was a cafe in the middle of nowhere - which we arrived at at lunchtime and then had about 30 mins to get off - but there was absolutely nothing to see! If you don’t go on the planned excursions, which are an extra cost, you are not really thought about in terms of time ashore.Show moreTrip date: October 2022
