The scenery was unreal, but what really stood out was the warmth of the locals and the simplicity of everything. Our driver became a kind of unofficial guide too, sharing local stories. The official guide explained the meaning behind prayer wheels and murals in the monasteries. We would go again in a heartbeat. Lifetime trip for me.Show more

Our guide was patient and super knowledgeable, especially at the monasteries. Our driver was a quiet guy, but always smiling and helpful. Hotels were clean, basic, and had all we needed.
