Its important to know a few things for this trip: 1. There is a different Travel Talk guide for each country - they all operate slightly differently 2. You need a visa into Vietnam from the US - possibly a "multiple reentry" visa if your doing round trip air flight from the starting point 3. The visia needed for Cambodia is done by river crossing - you get the visa on the trip at the river crossing point - no Evisa is available for the river crossing. 4. You will visit Lots and Lots of temples - pretty cool - but temple fatigue is a real things 5. Hot and Humid!!! be prepared for some strenuous walks - lots of temples are on high ground so lots of steps are involved We enjoyed this trip - encourage others to do it

Overall this was a great trip. However I do think that we didn't get enough time in the hotels to enjoy the facilties. Also my trip to the chu chi tunnels in vietnam was cancelled without any communication and by then it was too late to book an alternative trip as we didn't know out trip wasn't going anead until we were left in the hotel lobby and not picked up. Some days was too long on the bus. However, overall it was a really good trip and got to see a lot. I would do it again with some modifications.

This was my first group tour experience. Overall it was a good trip but the people on the tour are what made it. My advice would be to do research in advance and ask questions. There were things that got changed last minute which not all of the tour group received emails about. Some of us had paid for Cambodia visa ahead of time but it was made very clear once in Vietnam that we would have to have the visa done day of because of crossing the boarder by boat. There is no reason this could not be explained ahead of time so we didn’t waste money. Most hotels were ok however not always in the good locations of town. One hotel which we were meant to stay at supposedly we couldn’t due to military training. However, meeting other tour groups we learnt this not to be the case and they had stayed there.. why not tell us the truth? Instead we were put in a much lower standard hotel. In Cambodia a lot of time was spent on the bus. A couple of the attractions were closed but then those should have been replaced with other options which we were not given. The tour guides themselves were very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall for me this tour was special because of the people I met. I will definitely do more research on the companies before I book next time.

Travel talk amended the itinerary on a few occasions and did not send an updated version. A few activities were missed off or we were unable to fit it in due to poor planning of timings and logistics. There were no alternatives to missing out these activities. The sights listed in Thailand weren't varied enough and the group expedience temple fatigue. Hotels were changed too and not updated. We kept arriving at hotels quite late so couldn't enjoy it's facilities which was frustrating. Other parts of the tour were interesting and having some down time allowed for the group to enjoy more of the hotels and surroundings.

Traveling with travel talk took a lot of the stress away that you have when traveling solo with things such as accommodations, transportation, scheduling, etc. At times it was frustrating communicating with customer service before the tour departed to gather necessary information such as the tour guide’s contact info, meeting at the hotel and collecting everyone’s flight information, important info for visas - however once we got there everything went smoothly. I would have liked to have done one or two more activities each day as we ended quite early. On a few days where there were cancellations within our itinerary, there were no substitutions which would have been nice. The places we stayed were oftentimes one extreme or the other - really nice or really not the 4 stars they promised. The tour guides were great in each country - very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The things we did see and do really were amazing!!
