- AKALICK· January 8th, 2025The itinerary was excellent as it showed us areas where few others had been to such as Mt Wudinna, and Pildappa, which were both climbable, as well as Murphy's Haystacks as some rugged coastline and pristine beaches. Bjorn was excellent with his knowledge of indigenous culture, and flora and fauna, as well as hs dedication to looking after the passengers. The only negatives, were that the van was not 4-wheel drive so there were a few places listed on the itinerary that we were not able to get to, although we went to others that were not listed. Also, on the dirt roads, the side door rattled loudly making it hard to hear Bjorn's commentary. Finally, due to some mis-communication with head office we missed the ferry from Lucky Bay ( a misnomer ) to Wallaroo, so we had to drive back up to Port Auguata and then back to Adelaide.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewWhat fantastic photos, Alick, thank you for including them! - ATArthur· April 26th, 2023Excellent tour apart from ScotDesco experience which was a great disappointment. Virtually no activities and accommodation poor. Gawler Mountains tour with Geoff was excellent, great scenery and knowledgeable commentary. Arid Gardens and sculptures very educational. Head of the Bight and Nullarbor touring very interesting. The Big Farmer sculpture at Wudinna is without doubt the best big thing in Australia. Murphy’s Haystacks were exceptional unique rock formations. Our driver guide Simon went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our adventure.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Simon – Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and sharing these amazing photos.
