- AJim Fitzsimons· November 21st, 2023I have just returned from Nepal and a trek from Lukla to EBC and Gokyo with 9 friends in our 50's and 60's. We were introduced to Unique Adventures by my sister, who trekked with them in Annapurna 4 years ago. We found them excellent, very responsive to us before the trip and very willing to ensure that we had a really unique and great experience of Nepal and its people on the trip. When problems were encountered, as they always are on these trips, Khum Subeidi and his team were very good at responding and always offered solutions and worked with us to react. I would love to work with the again and cannot recommend the company highly enough.Show moreTrip date: October 2023
- ATom Pallett· June 5th, 2023I'd always wanted to visit Everest Base camp, so big thanks to Unique adventures for ensuring that everything about my trip went smoothly. Our guide Nuri was great, friendly and helpful, and there's no way we could have done it without the help of our two porters, Abhinash and Durga. The landscape is spectacular, and I felt that the difficulty level was just right for me, challenging without being too gruellingly difficult.Show moreTrip date: April 2019
- Pasquale· May 15th, 2023Great trek. Sometimes challenging from a physical and mental perspective, but absolutely rewarding. Panoramas by day and by night are literally... over the top! Even if you are an experienced trekker, prepare for altitude sickness and go! Ruplal (guide) and Gopal (porter) were extremely careful of all the aspects of the trek, including distances, food, accommodations, clothes, backpacks, water, etc. Their experience is invaluable from a safety perspective and Ruplal has been able to arrange tiny flexible changes to the itinerary if/when requested. Khum was helpful end-to-end, with airport or hotel pickup, clarifications, etc. Nothing was left to doubt. All good.Show moreTrip date: May 2023

- PPradeep· December 10th, 2022I had the privilege of doing the EBC trek during the month of Oct 2022. It was absolutely mind-blowing, given that it was my first to the Himalayas. Right from the time I landed at Lukla till back to Kathmandu, it was a ride that will give memories of a life-time. The breathtaking views, the long walks along forlorn mountains, the immersive experience of local cultures and cuisines and finally the first peep at the Mt. Everest; each worth every page in my diary, every GB in my phone that I will cherish carrying forever. But none of this could have been made possible without the wonderful trekking company that I associated myself with. Given that it was my first, I spent hours researching online, speaking to friends who’ve been there before to plan the trip. Eventually, after looking at the reviews, I chose Unique Adventure International as my trekking partner. I could not have been more correct with my choice. One of the biggest assets is Krishna, who manages the firm owned by his brother. My first message to them on WhatsApp elicited a response within 5 mins and that has been the norm throughout my journey. Umpteen queries and doubts were answered without a hint of frustration. Made me wonder if I was the only customer, but having spoken to others during the trek, I know that’s a customer service which is available to everyone. A few examples of going out of your way and “Customer delight” Bad weather led to us waiting for 2 days at the Ramechhap airport - Krishna kept me updated on the weather almost every hour and the chances to fly. At the end of 2 days with no end in sight, I was ready to cancel the trip and do the Annapurna Base Camp trek instead. He immediately arranged to change plans, booked bus tickets to Pokhara and sent a car to my Airport (which is 4 hrs by road from Kathmandu). Voila - the weather suddenly cleared and I instead flew for the EBC trek instead. Not a dime asked for the changes. For some reason - my cards didn’t seem to work in Lukla and I needed some money having not planned for the delays at Ramechhap. Krishna arranged for some money to be given to me through a hotelier. All I had to do was to pay Krishna back after I return to Kathmandu. He works on trust and providing an issue-free trip to his customers, which goes a long way in making a difficult trek pleasant. Nuwang Sherpa was my guide and once again, I lucked out. A down-to-earth, simple, rustic man born and brought up in the same mountains, he was the guide in the truest sense of the word. He ensured that I have a comfortable trek by arranging accommodation at the best hotels on the trek, guiding me on the dos and donts, customising the trek based on my strengths and abilities, and providing insights all along on the culture, cuisine around the valley. If you are a first-timer, you have no clue what awaits you on the trek. You would love to have someone who can guide you through those uncertainties, yet let you have an experience that is unique for you! Nuwang was just that guy! There are many guides available, but please do ask for a Sherpa (the true locals) to guide you; in particular, ask for Nuwang Sherpa and you will not be disappointed!Show moreTrip date: October 2022
- MMatthewR· November 6th, 2022We had a fantastic on the Everest Base Camp trip in late August of this year (my apologies for the late posting of this review). All the way throughout our trip we were supported by our fantastic guide Hemanta, our porter Akas and Krisna back in Kathmandu. On the first day of our trip we were greeted at the airport and got a lift to Thamel, where we were greeted by Krisna who ran us through all the need-to-knows for the week and reassured us. (Throughout the trip while we were in Kathmandu we had access to lifts/taxis to different sights). Our guide Hemanta had a worth of local knowledge, having lived in Dingboche for many years and this made such a massive difference to our experience - at all the tea houses conversation/translation with the hosts and getting breakfast/lunch/dinner was easy. I cannot reckon highly enough the benefits of going with a guide! The benefit of going with a guide was evident when, a few days into walking, our guide recognized our speed in covering the distances each day and offered to take us on a slight detour on our way to base camp, up to Chokung! When one of us, unfortunately, suffered from altitude sickness Hemanta was quick to recognize it and was always checking on our conditions with an oxymeter. We eventually got medically evacuated out by helicopter and Krisna and Hemnta were amazing at doing all they could to make sure we got back safe - having the expertise of locals who already know the helicopter companies, tea houses and lots of people in the valley well - made everything a lot easier. Alongside having a guide with us in the day, we were fortunate to have a porter, Akas, who helped us carry bags along the way (be sure to tip well if you want to). Overall it was one of the best weeks of my life, and as someone with not much high-altitude climbing experience beforehand this was very enjoyable - it has only made me want to go back and start on some 6000m peaks. All the pathways on the route are very easy to walk on, with the guides we got to see a lot of the local culture beyond just looking at temples from the outside - we managed to be welcomed into two temples on our way to base camp! I took a lot of photos as you might expect throughout the trip, but as I constantly told my family back home, photos really don't do it justice, you constantly feel overwhelmed by the landscape around you! There are few places like the Himalayas and the Khumbu Valley in particular in the world, and I would highly recommend adventuring into the landscape with UniqueAdventureLimited.Show moreTrip date: August 2022
- Todd· October 25th, 2022Our Everest Base Camp trek with Unique Adventure International was an experience of a lifetime. The company looked after us well in Kathmandu and we met the owners of the company. On the tour, our guide Megendra was exactly what we wanted. He kept us up to date with the days plans, gave us different options for routes, found great tea houses for eating and stays. Plus we shared many laughs and had a great time. Highly recommended!Show moreTrip date: September 2022

- RajRani· July 9th, 2022Very well organized. Kris was very helpful in arranging my private tour with a porter and a guide. I walked at my pace and my guide patiently guided me. Route was quite defined. Met lot of people from different countries…. amazing experience…also happened to be there in Gorakshep when marathon took place…..cheered the runners…..kudos to them. I was short of breath when going to EBC….. and they all were running… Lukla weather….. no one had control…. was stuck there for 3 days… overall very positive experience.Show moreTrip date: May 2022
