- CGChantel· January 29th, 2023I do not recommend booking through Across Africa Tours. The communication and organisation was woeful from day one. Firstly, the messages through TourRadar were painful. Next, the timing of our first days activities was incorrect so we missed out on the lunch and afternoon game drive, they told us they would pick us up at 8:45am and be there in time. Rather, we were woken up at 6:30am and told they were ready to go already. We left at 8:45am the original time but didn’t arrive to the reserve until 4pm. So clearly, the timing of the drive is incorrect. They also organised our final transfer but never gave us a voucher for us to claim it, therefore we were left at the airport to arrange our own transport to the hotel. I can not fault the service from Thornhill Safari Lodge, Shearwater Falls Hotel or our lovely guides Hilmar and Kim. We had amazing guides on the safaris as well. They were all very professional and lovely and we had wonderful food and rooms. But I recommend booking these places separately yourself or with another tour company!Show more
