A lot of places were visited in a short amount of time. I think the tours could be more customer friendly by beginning the tours in the afternoon or evening and ending the tours in the morning. I know they would cost more, but it would be well worth it. Beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 4:30 pm doesn't cut it. A real inconvenience to have to book a night before and after.

Flavio was our Tour Leader and he is an excellent Tour Leader. His energy and enthusiasm during our tour brought Puglia alive. He was always available and no issue ever phased him. If there was an issue he dealt with it in a very calm and professional manner to everyone’s satisfaction- a true diplomat. He is an excellent ambassador for Back Roads Tours and when I go back to Italy I will certainly try to ensure he is our Tour Leader. He really did go above and beyond to make our tour truly memorable.

This tour was so well organised and was a well balanced programme of visiting historic sites and otherwise hidden places. The tour leader, Flavio, made sure that everyone was taken into consideration and he talked to us about cultural and conversational dos and don’ts in Italy. He was caring, intelligent and humorous. I always felt included on this tour.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 30th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 30th, 2025, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Back-Roads Touring. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Back-Roads Touring will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Back-Roads Touring" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Back-Roads Touring. Please familiarize yourself with the Back-Roads Touring payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
