- KBkenneth· January 8th, 2020White-water rafting was dangerous. After rains water was high fast & two boats flipped throwing everyone in the river. Hike was rainy & muddy. Horse back ride to view Cotopaxi was great as was hike to hut up CotopaxiTrip date: December 2019
caren· January 4th, 2019Our guide Carlos was virtually non existent, he met with us on the first night and then said he was sick. At this point upon arrival in TENA another guide should have been provided. He provided nothing in TENA, onto BANOS we missed the public transit first bus due to timing, no narration was done. Itinerary said we were to leave BANOS at noon, he changed that to early morning, there were no road or weather issues. After the hike, CARLOS left to assist in transporting Lee and his wife back to BANOS, he did not return to the campsite but showed up in the morning after staying in the hotel in BANOS. This was not required, Lee was with his wife, was fine and did not attend or require to attend the hospital. There was no direction given as to other things to do in BANOS, we found our own hiking and transportation to other activities besides planned ones. On our way to COTOPAXI was the only time he gave any narration which was about 10 minutes. We had made plans the morning in BANOS to hike but they he sprung it on us that we were leaving early in the morning to travel. I am very disappointed as I had heard excellent review about GAdvenures. Others on the tour stated they had never had such a poor guide. Very disappointed not what I was expecting. CarenShow more
