Lokum tasting boiled down to dropping by a candy store that sells turkish delight. Wine tasting was the worst, from all the seven wines served not even one was worth swallowing (and note that I had tasted very nice Cyprus wine elsewhere), not to mention the sloppiest possible looks of the winery owner that happened to pour the "wines" to us. Lunch quality was good, but poor on Troodos day. As for the guide and the driver, outstanding! as good as it gets!Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Three days before I left for Cyprus, a new itinerary was sent and the free day was the first day and the Famagusta tour became the last day, so I never got to Famagusta, which was to be the highlight of my trip. No one at the hotel would help me arrange my own trip to Faagusta, and, even though I told the guides that I wanted to go, it wasn't until the last day that Rene said that he called one place, but they were booked. Also, we went to Nicosia on Eid, a Moslem holiday, so everything was closed. Then we were dropped off at the hotel and the next day was a free day.
