  A Journey Through Time: My Experience in Egypt Egypt is a country that feels like stepping into the pages of history. From the awe-inspiring pyramids to the tranquil waters of the Nile, every corner of this ancient land tells a story. My visit to Egypt was a captivating adventure that combined rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. The Sights The Pyramids of Giza are, without a doubt, the highlight of any trip to Egypt. Standing before these colossal structures, it's almost impossible not to feel a sense of awe. The Great Pyramid, with its sheer scale and incredible history, was a surreal experience. Beyond the pyramids, the temples of Luxor and Karnak transport you back in time, offering an unparalleled glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egypt. One of my favorite moments was a cruise along the Nile. The river, often called the lifeblood of Egypt, is beautiful, and the view of temples and tombs lining its banks is a photographer’s dream. The Valley of the Kings is another must-see, and the tombs are both haunting and awe-inspiring. The Culture Egypt’s culture is as diverse and complex as its history. The vibrant markets in Cairo are an experience all on their own. The chaotic energy of the market, the smells of spices, and the sound of haggling create an atmosphere that is uniquely Egyptian. The people I encountered were friendly, eager to share their culture and history, and always willing to help when needed. The Food Egyptian food is a delightful experience. I indulged in a variety of dishes, from falafel to koshari (a comforting mix of rice, lentils, pasta, and fried onions). Don't miss out on trying the fresh seafood by the Red Sea or enjoying a traditional meal at a local restaurant. The flavors are rich, often accompanied by the perfect blend of spices that linger long after the meal. The Challenges While Egypt is an amazing destination, it’s important to be prepared for the heat, especially during summer. The desert climate can be intense, and it’s advisable to stay hydrated and dress appropriately. Also, the hustle and bustle of the cities like Cairo can be overwhelming, especially with traffic and crowded streets. But these are just small challenges compared to the wonders Egypt has to offer.   Well organised tour that really allows you to see the highlights of Egypt. The best thing about the tour was our guide Hassan He was informative, took good care of the group, and most importantly made it fun. He joked around a lot and was easy going, while still managing a pretty busy schedule. The additional options of Abu Simbel (although it’s really a must-see), Nubian Village, and hot-air balloon were all fantastic. Maybe the only drawback was the Nile Tour boat, which was just alright. Our cruise was Renaissance, but I have no idea if other Nile cruises are very different. But all in all, it was a great value for a tour of Egypt. Also great with kids, if you’re parents like us.

  First thing Giza Egypt is not Gaza Palestine. Two different places and countries. I felt total safe on the trip The tour on whole was fantastic. The company responded to all requests and situations. The guides ( Sue and Ahmed) were will versed in the history of Egypt and staff at the hotels and ship were pleasant, helpful, accommodating and respectful. Someone was injured on the trip. Ahmed took charge of the situations handling the group that was with him and the group back at the ship. He stayed with the injured person making certain they got proper medical care. He did a great job in this situation. If I ever got hurt on a trip I would want to have a caring capable person like him at my side. One of the passengers on our ship Radamis II had a death in the family in Luxor. The ship pulled to the side at the locks and let him off the ship so he could join the family. Plus the ship also took good care of the injured person as did Ahmed on the ship. Plus to put the icing on the cake the group was made up of some fantastic and interesting people who not only shared this adventure but other one they have had the good fortune to take.   My husband and I went on this tour with his parents and we all had a brilliant time. The booking process through Tour Radar was simple and clear. However we booked the tour several months in advance and didn't hear any follow up the week before travelling which would have provided some reassurance. We would have liked to receive a more detailed itinerary and and confirmation of where to meet for our transfer from the airport as it took us a bit of time to find the driver. Once we were collected though the tour was impeccably organised throughout. We had some wonderful guides including Sohaila and Kamal who provided lots of information and the drivers were friendly. We were in a group of 8 and got very lucky to travel with some lovely people. The hotels were clean and comfortable. The World Trade Centre in Cairo is a bit dated and tattered around the edges but we weren't there for long and the suite was the biggest we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was ok. The Iberotel Casa Del Mar in Hurghada was beautifully maintained and the staff were courteous. Food options were great. The boat we travelled on (M/S Renaissance) was wonderful and the staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the itinerary including the optional tours, particularly the Pyramids, the Nubian Village and the Valley of the Kings. Unfortunately we couldn't do the hot air balloon due to wind but we got a refund very promptly. We cannot fault the tour at all but, as mentioned above, it would have been helpful to get a more detailed itinerary in particular broad timings because there were a lot of early morning starts (between 3:30 and 5:30am) coupled with some evening activities and late meals due to the cruise timings. It was a bit tiring at times for our whole group. I have seen some reviews complaining about added costs for entrance fees and tips for drivers and cruise ship staff (this doesn't include hotel staff or guides). However this extra cost was made clear in the initial tour itinerary as well as upon booking and during the tour and the prices to us were reasonable and the tips well deserved so we had no problem with this. The only things we struggled with were nothing to do with the tour itself. There are a lot of local sellers who will hassle you constantly and also don't expect to get any assistance at all by locals or even airport staff without being asked for money. The guides did warn us and gave us some advice but it was overwhelming at times. Also the cruise ships operate only 2 days per week in each direction along the Nile and everyone seems to have the same itinerary so there are dozens of boats travelling together meaning most of the places we visited along the cruise were extremely busy.   Thank you very much for the friendly help from the local travel company Holiday in Egypt. I sprained my foot when I visited Abusimble on the first morning in Aswan. It was very painful and I could only walk with difficulty. The tour guide Ahmed Kassem immediately borrowed a wheelchair to take me back to the ship. Ahmed Kassem immediately arranged a car (free of charge) when it arrived in Luxor the next day. I was sent to Luxor Hospital for a medical consultation. In that hospital, foreigners had to go through a complicated process to get a medical report and a receipt. In addition to seeing a doctor and taking X-rays, they also had to answer questions from investigators and also need write a report to them about how the accident happened. Thanks so much to the tour guide's constant companionship and translation, the whole process was completed within 2.5 hours. Afterwards, the tour guide also helped to borrow a wheelchair and a young helper, so that I could participate in the last day's itinerary in Luxor. I am really grateful to everyone in the travel agency for their enthusiastic and proactive care along the way. If you like to hear stories about Egyptian history, the tour guide is excellent.
