- KJkarley· October 15th, 2023Our journey through Morocco with Youness was truly delightful! He infused the trip with a sense of fun and made our experience memorable. It was reassuring to have a reliable local guide us, allowing us to focus on exploring and sightseeing without worrying about logistics. Youness introduced us to some fantastic new music and added humor and laughter to our journey. He led us to hidden gems, including an excellent place to buy dates, which was a real treat. Having a local guide who could direct us to the finest restaurants, coffee spots, and clean bathrooms was a tremendous convenience. Youness's knowledge of the areas we visited was truly impressive, always ready to take us to the next exciting spot to explore. He exemplified the kindness of the people of Morocco through his firsthand interactions and ensured we sampled the best of Moroccan cuisine, from olives, dates, and warm bread to goat cheese, tagines, and the cherished couscous on Fridays. Thank you, Youness! Among the many wonderful places we visited, Fes stood out as my favorite. The city's beauty and the omnipresent blue hues were truly spectacular, especially when viewed from our hotel, Dar Jasmine. I would love to return to both the city and the hotel. Our day tour with Zarah was excellent, as she possessed an intimate knowledge of the city and an evident love for her hometown. Her guidance through the Medina was a real treat, navigating it flawlessly and explaining the different sections as we explored. She also led us to an outstanding spot for street food and kabobs, where many locals dined. Fes's Medina had something for everyone, and Zarah helped us find high-quality rugs and other souvenirs. We were also captivated by the pottery-making process just outside the Medina and couldn't resist taking home a few beautiful pieces that will remain treasured. Marrakech's Medina was equally exciting, with its larger size, bustling atmosphere, and vibrant energy setting it apart from Fes. We enjoyed another exceptional day tour of this Medina with Ahmed, who shared both historical insights and current happenings. His guidance through the labyrinthine streets and assistance in locating specific markets were invaluable. Our heartfelt gratitude to Youness and the entire Trek Desert Maroc team for creating an unforgettable experience!Show more

We couldn't have wished for a better guide than Khalil, who immediately put us at ease as we arrived. He is a consummate navigator who is knowledgeable and understanding of your needs.
