    Overall, my brother and I are very glad to have taken the trip. The experiences were unique! However there were some things that still leave a bad impression on us. Firstly, there was poor communication from the organisation: lack of briefing for the guide (Kenya, did not know what was included and what not), poor execution of the tour plan (we paid our share for the crater and only got the plains as compensation, which we would have been paid for anyway), incorrect bookings (one night instead of two in Serengeti), missing information (suddenly a different accommodation in Karatu that did not match the quality of the original one: no pool, etc.), and confusing payment listings. We also did not understand how the Budget-Option actually improved our trip…more information and transparency would be highly appreciated!. On the contrary, Michael (our tansanian guide) deserves a 5-star rating; he’s an amazing guide/guy and did everything he could to make the trip in Tanzania unforgettable!

      • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
    • Payment information
      • For any tour departing before February 2nd, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 2nd, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Friendly Gorillas Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
      • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Friendly Gorillas Safaris will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
