- HNHelen· May 24th, 2019The hotels were better than expected. But, the location of our hotel in Shanghai was terrible. It would have been fune if our tour included a bus and tour guide in Shanghai. But this particular tour just had a free day to explore Shanghai on our own. We were in this hotel fot two nights and dependung on our flights some of us had 2 free days to see Shanghai. Unfortunately the hotel was a 20 minute walk from the hotel and another 30-45 minute metro ride to attractions. Some members of our group missed the fact that entrance fees to attractions were not included and that a tipping kitty would be collected from the group, these additional fees were less than $300 and I felt the trip was excellent value. I would use On The Go Tours again but I would make certain of hotel locations in any city or town that was billed, "on your own".Show more

The shopping mall was dirty and only 2 floors were open.Some tour members felt unsafe. The accomodation in Xi’in was not up to the standard of the other hotels. The hotel room smelt of cigarettes ( ingrained into curtains and carpet) and air freshener was used to try and mask the smell.
