We went hiking for 2 days and stayed one night in a homestay located in a small village in the mountains. The local people were super lovely and very welcoming. We shared the meal with other travelers. Food was good and the general atmosphere was really nice and friendly. We hiked through the rice paddies, passed by a bamboo forest and waterfalls. The landscape was magnificent. Our guide was one of the best parts of our trip. She was such a kind and caring person and also very open to have a conversation with us. Her english was good, so the chat was super smooth. She explained us a lot about the Vietnamese culture in particular the lifestyle of people living in the mountains. She also shared her personal life experience, which was very touching given the difficult living conditions that women can have there. - Minh Đức· December 8th, 2023Sy guided us for a wonderful 2 days through spectacular hillside communities outside SaPa, introducing us to the Black H’Mong and Red Dao way of life along with the art and culture of the region. Throughout the planning for our trip, communication with SaPa Sisters was a breeze. Prior to setting off we were given a choice of easy, medium or hard trekking, and opted for the medium version. This proved to be the right choice for our older knees - we earned our rest stops along the way, trekking about 12 km on the first day, then shortened the second day slightly to approx 7km. Accommodation and meals were a highlight as we enjoyed the hospitality of local families, and were able to join in meal preparation for our evening meal. The tour offered us fantastic accommodations, as well as a memorable experience with the Vietnamese locals. The sightseeing during our treks throughout different villages was accompanied with incredibly knowledgeable tour guides which spoke English very fluently. He even introduced us to have dinner with the locals down at the village which we felt was very authentic.
