Their commitment to showing off their culture, food, the landscape, the arts and crafts and history is richer and delivered with so much passion and infectious enthusiasm, it was impossible not to have a good time. Their attention to detail and ability to flex when weather conditions foiled premade plans, is just a small part of their genius. - KMKaren· November 28th, 2023Outstanding and life changing. November 2023 was my second trip with WaytoTravel and that in itself should tell you that this ‘give back’ tour is exceptionally good. From the get go this trip is packed with authentic, local and incredibly varied activities planned by Jane and Tuan (Mr. T.) both of whom are amazingly committed and fun human beings. Mr. T , the tour leader, goes above and beyond to make the tour meaningful and is a big part of how the group ends up feeling like a family rather than a tour group. I can’t sing his praises enough. He is so knowledgeable about Vietnam past and present and the so many different experiences that they pack into this short tour. As enjoyable as the tour is for me, the highlight is the volunteer portion which allows you to positively impact the life of a family in need. A family that lacked a shower and toilet now has one., A family’s future income will be improved by building a chicken coup and providing the chicks,;a disabled family member will now be able to go to the bathroom independently because of a walkway that was built and a family that cooked on a wood fire in a disused pig pen, now has a a space inside their house to create a kitchen. If I were asked to to give WaytoTravel a score out of 10 I would give it a score of 20.Show moreTrip date: November 2023
- KWKimberly· November 13th, 2023What a fantastic trip! We experienced so many different things on our journey, travelling by plane, night train, boats, bicycles, rickshaws and buses. We learnt so much about the Vietnamese people, their history, culture, lifestyle and country! Our tour guides were all amazing! Especially Mr T! The people are friendly, kind, generous and peaceful! The accommodation was great and the food out of this world! Finally, but not least, the volunteer project was incredibly rewarding, and a real feature of the trip! I would definitely return to Vietnam and highly recommend Way To Travel!Show more
