- Lorena· August 8th, 2022The tour was okay. It was a 5 day tour, which I very quickly realized was way too short. Because it was so short, it felt like the tour didn't really include much. First day was a travel day, so it was a free afternoon and an optional dinner. The second day was a full free day. That was already half of the tour because the last day is only departure. So it only felt like I did things as part of the tour for 2 days. I was not happy about the hotels either, they were super far from the city. The hotels themselves were not terrible, it was just really bad locations. Every hotel required either a local bus or Uber ride into the city. This added extra expenses and extra dangers because if we wanted to go out we had to find some type of public transportation back to the hotel at night. One of the hotels was right in front of a dumpster and all other buildings around it were industrial. It was a terrible location. This was my first impression with Contiki and not sure that I would do it again.Show moreContiki commented on this reviewThanks for sharing your honest review of the Mini Balkan; we always appreciate receiving these from our travellers. - NKNadsya· August 4th, 2022The trip was good. I would reconsider the starting point for the 5-day mini balkans tour. It was pointless to meet in Budapest for 3 hours before we drove directly to slovenia. Should we meet in Budapest it would make more sense to tour the city for a day with the group and mentor before leaving. The hotel we stayed at in Split was too far away from the town center and it felt incredibly unsafe. Other than these, the tour was good! The mentor Muz was knowledgeable and interactive. The places and special add ons were authentic and special.Show moreContiki commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your feedback.
