- ACecilia Brown Thomas· May 9th, 2023Our tour was about as perfect as we could imagine! Not only was it well-organized in ways that allowed us to maximize the diverse, incredible sites and events each day, we were also blessed with an outstanding tour guide -- Linda -- who provided a wealth of knowledge about Scotland and kept us spellbound and laughing each day! We're still amazed that 24 strangers from all over the U.S. (plus Australia) could spend such concentrated time together with absolutely no conflicts and feel like old friends by the end of the tour! Our AAA travel agent said CIE Tours is her favorite group to work with and now we understand why!Show moreTrip date: April 2023Review collected by CIE Tours
- ALynne Maree Acland· May 15th, 2023The tour guide and driver were terrific, although there could have been a bit more commentary on the bus, some of the long drives needed something. I would not recommend a single traveller to book paying single supplement. Single supplement is expensive but singles are given dreadful rooms at some of the hotels. Treated like we are the left overs whilst couples got lovely rooms. Some of the hotels that CIE use are not good. Ayre Hotel at Kirkwall was dreadful as was the Columba in Inverness.Show moreTrip date: April 2023Review collected by CIE Tours

- AMs. Abigail Mee· June 23rd, 2023My tour guide, Di Keddie, and my driver, Gordon, were both extraordinarily kind, welcoming, fun, and informative. Do have great commentary everyday and Gordon was an incredible driver. Any problem was solved quickly and easily. They gave great recommendations for food or activities and truly made my trip more enjoyable.Show moreTrip date: June 2023Review collected by CIE Tours

- ASteven Richard Pfann· June 24th, 2023The tour was great, all the stops were enjoyable. Some hotels were a little uncomfortableTrip date: May 2023Review collected by CIE Tours
- ADavid Michael Lombardo· June 24th, 2023In general, it was Good touring experience. Tour director, Anita, was organized, friendly and very knowledgeable. Some of the hotels, were below expectations and a few of the included dinners, especially the Novotel in Glasgow were sub standard and mundane.Show moreTrip date: May 2023Review collected by CIE Tours
- AMrs. Susan Kiley· June 24th, 2023CIE tour guide and bus driver were superb! Graham Bruce is highly knowledgeable and thoughtful. Gordon is an excellent driver and is highly skilled at navigating some pretty narrow roadways. The itinerary was very good and aligned with our interest of the Highlands & Isles and Scottish history/culture. A couple of the hotels left A LOT to be desired. Namely..Novatel in Glascow (not near anything of true interest or decent restaurants, youths outside all night yelling and racing motor bikes, sounded drunk, dingy & depressing rooms with a very dangerous climb up shower on a platform, crowded dining w other tours & not so good food); Columba in Inverness was filthy. We literally had to ask for toilet paper & there was no room service. Lightshade over bed was covered in dust, triggering allergies/sleepless nights. In both of these locations there were DoubleTree & Marriott hotels. Other people I know have stayed in Glascow & Inverness and confirmed we could have done better.Show moreTrip date: May 2023Review collected by CIE Tours
