- RMRoger· October 15th, 2022Appalling!!! Unfortunately I can’t give 0*. Local operations couldn’t tell the truth if their life depended on it. Go to the Himalayas and experience alpine beauty. First 4 nights staying in tents in a paddock in full sun, temperatures 30+, nowhere to shelter, incessant dog barking during the nights, cook was the only good thing. Nepal management cancelled the trek and 2 days later I have received no notice and no communication of the change to arrangements ie everything is now my cost… Accom, food, airport transfers etc. I’m still finding things I’m now responsible for. Zero communication. Even told it was my fault for organising flights the day after the scheduled finish date!! Not only was I dumped in a foreign country with no communication but I had acquired Covid and a few nice words was my prize for acquiring it. They kep lying say follow these rules… when there were no rules. DO NOT USE WORLD EXPEDITIONS in Nepal. WEX head office has no empathy. Don’t say you weren’t warned.Show moreWorld Expeditions commented on this reviewHi Roger, We are sorry to hear that your experience in Nepal has not met your expectations. - Katherine· June 6th, 2018Overall, the trip matched the itinerary well, so potential travelers have a good idea of what to expect. The rating of 5 for activity level is accurate in that the trek is physically demanding, but doesn't require much (if any) prior training for the average fit adult. However, it does take an enormous amount of willpower to keep going through illness (everyone on the trip got gastro at some point), lack of sleep due to the high elevation, sore feet, etc. If you're up to the challenge, Bhim and Narayan-our guides-were incredible and truly made the trip!Show moreWorld Expeditions commented on this reviewThanks for travelling with us in Nepal, Katherine. Appreciate the review!Trip date: May 2018
- LLauren· October 9th, 2016Loved this trek. Everyone from lead guide, Sherpas, porters, and cooks. Mahabir (Bir) lead Sherpa was incredible. Recommend lead guide training for him!! Will def book with WE in the future.Trip date: September 2016
- JGJonathan· April 14th, 2016I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the post card beauty of Nepal and the challenge of reaching the base of the world's most famous mountain. Tikendra and his team did an amazing job looking after our group and catering to the individual needs of trekkers whenever a personal issue arose. I decided to go with World Expeditions for two reasons, one was length (a lot do it quicker and that is not the best way to do high altitude treks) and second because I was travelling solo. Best decision I have ever made! The permanent camps are better than most of the tea houses, the food is consistent and safe as the same people cook for you each night. I couldn't think of a better way to experience this fantastic part of the world.Show moreTrip date: February 2016
- MCMatt· April 14th, 2016I would definitely recommend this tour/or tour group for any of your future adventures. If you have any inclination to visit Nepal, just do it. This country is full of wonderful scenery, honest people and plenty of photo opportunities. Our fantastic guide, Juddah Rai, was always focused, full of knowledge and a wonderful bloke. Well done World Expeditions for employing such remarkable people.Show moreTrip date: January 2016
- Sandra· February 25th, 2016Absolutely brilliant !! Guides and staff were excellent and every detail was attended to. Accommodation and food was very good.Trip date: October 2015
- Thilini C.· February 17th, 2016Best experience I have ever had. I will not try to describe it as it can only be experienced. As promised WE looked after us very well. Guides were awesome. Our chef Mila trekked all the way with us.Hot cordial before a meal was so refreshing. Food was mostly organic. Due to the bowl of water we got every morning and evening, our group looked much cleaner than the rest of the travellers. If you are prepared mentally and physically all you need is WE to organise everything else for you. Do respect the land. I came back like a winner.Show moreTrip date: September 2014
