I enjoyed the tour and the different experiences it offered however coming on the tour half way through was a little difficult and I felt as though I wasn’t treated as well as the longer members by the tour guides. Also the distance covered in the vehicle made for long days and limited time to experience everything wanted.

It was my first time travelling with Intrepid and it was an amazing experience.I would recommend it to most people but with others that want complete luxury this trip would not be for them.

This was a good trip and pre trip info gave a good overview of what to expect. Participatory trips need to be well managed so that everyone does help and this could have been better managed. Joining an already established group was also a challenge as 7 members had already been together for 9 days.

To be clear, my rating in no way reflects the staff on this trip. The were excellent. My issue with this trip is the itinerary and the imbalance of driving and lack of activity.See below

This was a great experience, and the team did a great job! Big shout out! Loved the locations, most of the camps we stayed, game drives, and food! However, Intrepid should do a better job on their marketing and itinerary descriptions. Some things were not as described or marketed and for some travelers that could be disappointing. False advertising is not just unethical, it's a crime against consumers!

Airport transfers are not included in the tour cost, however, we can arrange this for you for an additional cost with Intrepid once you have a confirmed booking.

    • Which airport is recommended to fly into to join the tour?

There are two airports you can fly into Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) or Livingstone (Zambia). However, it is generally easier to fly into Victoria Falls Airport.

    • What is the maximum group size of this tour?

This tour has a minimum of 1 participant and a maximum of 22.

    • How is the allocation of bus seats managed?

Usually in small groups like this one, the allocation of seats in the bus is something managed by the tour leader as how they see fit, rather that a company policy. Should you have any special requests, you simply discuss it with your tour leader when you join the tour.

    • Do you have a storage for cash, passports and other important belongings?

With regard to the security of your belongings, this is also something the tour leader will advise you on. In essence, it's your responsibility to keep your things secure, but the experienced, local guide will have all the best recommendations for the duration of your stay.

A trip note - which contains essential information about your trip will be given to you. Please contact us for this.

    • Is sleeping bag rental available on the trip?

We recommend a 3–4 season sleeping bag as it can get very cold at night during the Winter months. Sleeping bags are also available for hire if pre-booked.

    • Are the flights included?

Flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is guaranteed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf.
