  Totally enjoyed the Southern India tour . Hotels over all were good . Scenery was amazing backwaters, coastal villages, Hampi Wow . Our tour guide Vinit was extremely knowledgeable he could not do enough for us. Made our trip very easy. Highly recommended.

Our guide Chandra was brilliant—knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to everyone’s needs. The thrilling night train adventure and well-planned itinerary exceeded my expectations.   The Trip exceeded our expectations. We were lucky to have Jeshin as our tour Guide. He was well informed and was pretty clear with setting expectations about our BasiX tour package. We got a true cultural experience that included travel within India on Private Bus, Trains, Tuk-Tuks, Ferry and State Transport Bus. We even rode an Elephant in Periyaar. With the right attitude and patience, this is a rewarding tour. The food was exquisite in most cities (you should explore local options). Jeshin gave us multiple options in most cities. We enjoyed Trivandram, Kochi, Varkala, Hampi & Mysore. Mysore Palace was so crowded due to the Dec Holidays, we probably should have skipped it. The Mysore Silk saree shopping and eating at Mylaree & 'Frosting' made up for it. Hotels and Homestays in most places was pretty good. I think Mysore was probably the only bad one since there were so many choices, Interpid could do better. Hotel in Hampi was the best. The only complaint we have is regarding the Periyaar Sanctuary. That day could have been planned better by Intrepid. If they had made advance reservations when we were in Varkala, we would have been able to do the Govt Jungle Trips as opposed to private outside the Jungle trips. We didnt have any tickets left, by the time we reached Periyaar. We did d teh Kerala Martial arts, which was good, but left a sore spot about missing the jungle trek. Overall a really nicely planned tour and well worth its shoe string budget cost. Enjoy!!! we did :)

  Note: Scores have been submitted in accordance with standard marking. e.g. 1 = extremely poor, 3 = met required standards, 5 exceeded standard / expectation of tour. Overall I enjoyed the Southern Leg of the tour. Southern India is a beautiful part of the country and it is positive to see this region making an effort to reduce plastic. The guide did not 'sell' the beauty of the South and on many occasions talked down the area. The itinerary covers a wide range of areas to explore the differences of the South

  The trip was so well planned and organised by the group leader. I was always informed well in advance for departure and arrival times and given a heads up about the area we were next travelling to and any optional activities that would be beneficial to do.
