They refused a refund stating that it was "safe" in the areas we were visiting and that they would not refund due to it being my choice to cancel. The representative on the phone assured me that she "talked to a friend in Quito and he says it's fine."This goes against all international news and warnings. Do not travel with them. - JPJoanna· March 1st, 2023Communication with Intrepid prior to our trip was quite frustrating but the trip itself was great. Transfer from hotel to airport to boat to the lodge went without problem. Yarina Lodge is beautifully located, and we really enjoyed our visit. Days were busy going on canoe trips or jungle hikes, meals were tasty and served in dining room overlooking the river. Surprisingly there were few mosquitos or any other insects. Huts are equipped with fans and it was sufficient for comfortable sleep.Show moreTrip date: February 2023
