- ASAdrian· October 20th, 2018This was my second G Adventure trip. And compared to my first one, five years ago, this was a huge step backward. Every single day it became obvious that the main business of G Adventure is not providing travelers unique holidays with in-depth cultural experience anymore, but rather motivating travelers to spend as much money as possible at their local offices and partners. As a result, in the Planeterras as well as in most hotels, restaurants and activities promoted by G Adventures one tour group followed the others - total mass tourism! An absolute no-go in my eyes was, when our CEO recommended us to join him for the restaurant in Uyuni because the next three days through the Salt Flats there were no doctors and no hospitals and he was worried about us getting food poisoning. Then, he brought us to the lowest rated restaurant in Uyuni. Two of us (including me - although I just ate two spoons of my dish) got diarrhea afterwards, one got an allergic reaction and the vegan in our group got pasta with cheese! How worried G Adventure really is about the health of the travelers proofed also the following night in the Planeterra in the middle of the Salt Flats. They even wanted money for soap! The price wasn't high at all, but still, making money with the hygiene and therefore the health of the travelers is in my eyes a shame! In general the hotels were mainly good located, but tiny (as expected) and especially very dirty (worse than expected). The optional activities were mainly overpriced. Just the Rainbow Mountain tour and the city tour in La Paz were worth the money. Though, I also have to admit that the itinerary was great. Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain (optional activity), Floating Islands, the Teleferico in LaPaz and (my absolute highlight) the Uyuni Salt Flats were just amazing! ... So, while I can highly recommend you going to Peru, Bolivia and Chile, I cannot recommend G Adventure anymore.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewOn no! - AA TourRadar Traveller· April 6th, 2018Was a good tour but needs a few changes to make it great. We’re a 57 and 60 year old married couple who love adventure. For us too much time was spent in cities (Cusco 4 nights way too much) and not enough time in desert. Our guide Antonio saved the trip from disaster with his positive, happy attitude. G Adventures really needs to check the tour operators they use for the Salt flats and a few other tours as they’re not up to scratch. Disappointing that G Adventures didn’t perform when we had a situation in the Salt Flats and Bolivian border.Show moreTrip date: March 2018

- CChaz· October 2nd, 2017I love travelling with G Adventures. This was my second trip with them (first was Delhi to Kathmandu). I loved my CEO Percy, he is a Peruvian and very knowledgeable and great to spend time with. I absolutely loved the Peru part to this trip, Machu Picchu was everything I wanted (I recommend the 1 day hike even though it's a pricey add-on). Spent a lot of time in Cusco as you need time to get used to the altitude - it's serious stuff. I got migraines and was on altitude sickness tablets. But aside from this, Cusco is a fun place! Standard of accom was okay, nothing too fancy but managed to get decent sleep most places. Percy was great with recommendations for restaurants etc. Bolivia was probably my least favourite part of the trip (Potosi wasn't great), but we did still do some amazing things like Rock Climbing in Sucre, Death Road in La Paz (although I skipped that and did the city tour) and the Salt Flats (so cold!). Chile was like a nice return to civilization after the Salt Flats (very basic accom and food), I liked the town of San Pedro De Atacama and then finishing off in Santiago was great. If I had the chance again I would continue onto Argentina, the trip merges with another tour and some of my new friends did it and it looked absolutely stunning. All in all I loved it, even the bad towns/bad times make for a fun story later. I have new lifelong friends and memories that I will cherish forever.Show moreTrip date: August 2017
