  Excellent tour with great guide, just as I expected. Great hotels at the arrival and in the cities. Trek was just perfect for my level, Poon hill is awesome at sunrise. I definitly recommand if you want a trip all planned, to ease your mind and just enjoy

  The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with Nepal Hiking Team was an excellent short trek near Pokhara. It is a great alternative for anyone who cannot do the full Annapurna range. You sleep in tea houses (similar to hostels) with hot meals, hot showers, toilets and bedding. There is no need to carry full backpacking gear unless you like having your own sleeping bag instead of using the tea house bedding which was clean and appropriately warm for the climate. Some of the tea houses have WiFi, and if you are lucky, you will find an outlet for charging your phone (otherwise, some of them charge 10-20 rupees). I trekked through amazing forests, valleys, little waterfalls and all the while- I was in a constant awe of the mountains. I passed through local villages, goats and monkeys, and the beauty of the region definitely did not fail to amaze me, especially with the mountain ranges! Nepal Hiking Team arranged brilliant accommodations and food and even arranged for the trail entrance tickets. I was with my guide- Paban, who was a joy to be with. He picked me up at the airport when I arrived and helped me to my hotel. I found that the menus were similar to what one finds in town, with Nepali, Chinese, Italian and Mexican options. There was even chocolate cake and apple pie. There was LOTS of uphill trekking and thanks to some training in advance as suggested by Mr. Ganga during the answering of my queries before the trek- I was able to do it with relative ease. On the last night, I woke up at 4am to start climbing t Poon Hill to an amazing sunrise over the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. Also, it was really cool to see a line of people with their flashlights climbing together. Definitely worth it and will be a once in a lifetime moment. Nepal Hiking Team did a great job with the trek, and I enjoyed every moment of it! I definitely recommend Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and Nepal Hiking Team!

  Ganga was appointed as the guide to us during our trek, and he was an exemplar guide, let me tell you! First time in a foreign country, miles away from home is quite unnerving to say the least. But, soon, all of the nerves were dissipated because of how much fun we were having! Nepal is a wonderful country full of cultural sites and so many temples! I liked visiting the temples and the monasteries, and see their architecture and listen to their stories and their history. Ganga definitely fulfilled every aspect of that because all of the trekking journey, we had the utmost care and attention by him, and everything happened so smoothly and wonderfully, it was amazing! The whole experience of it all was just the most wonderful thing and the trek was also worth all the trouble of flying to a foreign country because the sight and the atmosphere of the mountains, and the peaks and everything are indescribable! Really would recommend Nepal Hiking Team to anybody who is looking for hiking in Nepal, because as a first timer to trekking and hiking in a foreign country, I definitely enjoyed my time there and had a most wonderful experience!

  My trek was just perfect! I booked my trip spontaneously 10 weeks prior and I had no idea what I was getting myself into going alone as a 32 year old female from Australia but it was absolutely brilliant! I had spot weather and amazingly clear and beautiful views of the mountains, the time of year I was there was quiet so I had the best room in the best hotels, I had peaceful people free sections of hiking, there was no leeches, snakes or bugs at the time of the year I went and I saw the New Year’s Eve festival in Pokhara. The most perfect part of the trip for me was that I was on tour on my own, yep that’s right, I was very lucky to get a guide and porter just to look after me! I actually think this was amazing as I got to go at the pace I wanted to and I learnt so much about Nepal and the Nepalese people because I spoke to these guys so much. No only were they extremely knowledgeable and educational they were very kind, respectful and had my best interest at heart. It was clear they felt responsible for me and making sure I was comfortable, fed and getting the best of everything. I was so surprised at the level of facilities at the hotels on the mountain including hot showers, flushing sit down toilets and WiFi. I’m not sure if I was just exceptionally hungry but the food on the mountains in the hotels was really good (my guide recommended don’t eat the chicken due to the way it is kept before cooking and beef is not beef as it is illegal for them to kill a cow). At all times as a single white female traveling alone I felt completely safe and comfortable. I can’t thank my brilliant guide and impressive porter more for such an amazing experience!!! Take me back to the peaceful step after step and the afternoons relaxing around the hotels any day!!!! Highly recommend this tour, value for money and service exceeded expectations.   We went on an 11-day trek with Nepal Hiking Team. From the preparation (liaising with Ganga via email) to the actual trek, it was a good experience. Ganga was very helpful, prompt in his responses and very accommodating. He initially proposed an itinerary for us but he was able to modify it according to our comments and requests. Deepak, our guide, and our porters, Gokul and Prem, were very hospitable. They made sure we were well taken care of. It was not an easy trek as we had to walk for days but we could say the tour company made the trek doable and comfortable as they can for us. The porters were our lifesavers. The route that we took was very scenic and beautiful. Our guide was informative. All of them can be trusted. Thank you Nepal Hiking Team for a very memorable trip!
