- Quinn· August 17th, 2022Excellent trip! I would absolutely recommend the Infinite Adventures trips to anyone who loves an adventure, enjoys being outside and is flexible in their travel. In this tour, you should be ready for the weather (have good gear) and love camping because much of it is outdoors. This was overall a great trip with lots of activities along the way.Show moreTrip date: August 2022
- MPMiranda· July 27th, 2022A magical, life-changing trip. I'd wanted to visit Alaska for as long as I can remember, and I'm so glad I got to experience it for the first time with Infinite Adventures! From seeing orcas to hiking alongside glaciers, and telling stories around the campfire while the sun still shines at 11pm, this was an adventure I'll never forget. And I can't wait to go back! Dave and Carolina were the perfect guides. Fun, passionate, kind, highly knowledgable and skilled at spotting wildlife, attuned to everyone's needs, and just the right amount of "tough love" (from Dave, anyway!) to push you outside your comfort zone. From day one, they made me feel right at home and built camaraderie among our group so that we all felt like lifelong friends by the end. (Natalie wasn't on our trip but I spoke to her a lot via email and she was also fantastic, very informative and prompt about answering all my questions.) Despite traveling on a literal tour bus with guides, my experience with Infinite Adventures didn't feel commercial or tourist-y. You're sleeping in a tent, pitching in with chores around the campsite, using the occasional pit toilet, and there's no slowing down even if it's cold or rainy! (Of course Dave and Carolina would change plans if the weather makes something unsafe, but "inconvenient" doesn't influence their itinerary.) There are group activities each day, but you'll also have plenty of opportunities to explore on your own and try local restaurants/cafes/bars in Seward, Homer, and Hope. One highlight is the Adventure Camp across the bay from Homer, a private "tent and breakfast" run by Dave's friends who cook delicious meals and provide a charming atmosphere to take a hot shower and relax after a long day kayaking. You'll probably see a ton of wildlife, too. We saw orcas (specifically transients, which are rarer than other types of orcas), humpbacks, sea otters, Stellar sea lions, seals, puffins, TONS of bald eagles, golden eagles, moose, marmots, black bears, and probably more I'm forgetting. Not to mention all the gorgeous trees and wildflowers everywhere. Alaska is simply breathtaking. And Infinite Adventures is for everyone! Our group ranged in age from 18 to mid-70s, all fitness levels, a mix of single folks like myself, couples, and a father and daughter, and about half our group were from overseas. As long as you're open to trying new things and don't mind getting a little dirty, you'll have an incredible time with Dave and Carolina. So if you've read all the way to the end of my review... what are you waiting for? Book this trip!Show moreTrip date: July 2022
- MMridula· November 8th, 2021What a wonderful way to discover Alaska! A memorable trip thanks to the efforts of Natalie, Dave, and Carolina. Infinite Adventures provides a really unique travel experience. Their bus is creatively outfitted to be a traveling home for 16 tour participants. By the end of our journey, we felt like a traveling family because the trip provided opportunities to connect and bond with fellow travelers. The Kenai trip was well-planned. It offered the right mix of adventure and convenience. The company makes all the arrangements. Yet, there are opportunities for travelers to participate in setting up camp, preparing food, and cleaning up. Natalie, Dave, and Carolina were warm, friendly, and responsive to travelers' needs. Natalie and Dave's 3 year old son was an adorable addition to our trip. The whole experience felt much more personalized than traveling with a bigger company. Alaska is so much bigger and more exquisite than I had imagined. The highlight was the glacier visit - other-worldly! Throughout the trip, I appreciated the organization and planning that made our journey from one location to another smooth and interesting. Highly recommend this adventure with this company. ~ Mridula (California)Show moreTrip date: July 2021
- Arden· September 8th, 2021The moment I first saw the blue converted school bus on the website, I knew this was exactly for me. A couple of previous experiences have taught me that if you encounter an opportunity like traveling around Alaska in a converted school bus, do not hesitate to take it! It is not just about the destination but also the journey. I will always cherish the seemingly all-too-brief time camping in the Kenai Peninsula. As it was in August, the weather was at first a tad disagreeable, but it only made it sweeter when it finally yielded to some beautiful days. And thus, a cascade of lovely memories: the fragrant wildflowers blanketing a mountainside while hiking to Exit Glacier, eating the best rockfish tacos of my life in Seward, closing down the Salty Dawg Saloon in Homer with new friends from the Infinite group, observing in awe bears in Katmai National Park, beachside camping on Homer Spit, enjoying a dinner of freshly caught halibut at sunset on Hesketh Island, sea kayaking in Kachemak Bay, watching orcas breaching at dusk, huddling around a campfire making s’mores. We had fantastic guides in Natalie, Dave, and Carolina (and little Tayo). They worked very hard to accommodate us, from cooking breakfast early in the morning to organizing activities to always having campfire wood. If you can secure a spot with their company, then you are in for a memorable adventure! The blue school bus brought together a group of like-minded individuals who truly love to travel. There are many ways to see Alaska, but this is truly one of a kind.Show moreInfinite Adventures commented on this reviewSo happy to have had you on the trip. - LLiz· August 31st, 2021This was such an amazing adventure that it is hard to describe. You may be asking yourself if this trip is right for me? Here are some thoughts. Can you be cooperative; help out and pitch in as needed? Are you flexible and can handle changes in plans? Can you handle being in wet clothing for a few hours while being distracted by the most glorious scenery? Do you get along with most people? Can you let someone else "take the wheel" so you can enjoy the ride? Do you enjoy group meals while sitting on a beach or overlooking a bay? If you said yes to most questions, you can totally "do" this trip. If you have ever camped in a campground or taken a scout troop camping, you can do this trip! There were moments I was a bit out of my comfort zone, but every moment was worth it. I met some very interesting and fun people. Dave, Natalie and Carolina are so professional and so know what what they are doing. It was just the right amount of down time and they showed us really amazing sights you would never get on a cruise or a large group. The small group makes the exprience even more special. Alaska has so much to offer and everything is beautiful. You have a lot of choices but nothing this unique. Highly recommend!Show moreInfinite Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much! - MWMark· August 30th, 2021WOW! what an adventure! I had never been to Alaska before and was a little nervous about going by myself, but Dave, Natalie, and Carolina made everyone feel so welcome. I settled right in. During the 9 days on the trip, we saw Humpback Whales, Orcas, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Seals, Dahl Sheep, Moose, Glaciers, Tons of Eagles, and I did the Bear Viewing trip to Lake Clark which was the Adventure of a Lifetime. we saw over 20 Brown Bears and 5 or 6 within 20 feet away. I had such a great time, I already booked the Denali trip for next Summer!Show moreTrip date: July 2021
- deborah· August 29th, 2021WOW! What an amazing trip! My nephew and I traveled to Alaska for the 9-day Kenai Adventure. This trip exceeded all expectations! Dave and Natalie are wonderful....highly experienced, knowledgeable, organized, laid back, and fun! The converted school bus was unique....comfortable with plenty of space. The food was great...Natalie was very accommodating to my vegan diet. I loved the family atmosphere of the group and how everyone would pitch in with the chores. The tents were easy to set up and take down. The campsites were in areas with stunning views. Each day brought a new adventure....wildlife cruise, hiking, sea kayaking, and the highlight of the trip....bear viewing at Lake Clark National Park and Preserve! Definitely the best adventure evah!!! Shout out to hard working Carolina and beautiful boy Tayo:) Denali 2022!!!Show moreInfinite Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much! - José David· November 21st, 2019Me and my wife wanted to visit Alaska and when we saw this tour it was exactly what we wanted! We had an amazing time in Alaska and I believe it was because all the conditions that got mixed on our trip: the nature, the tour people and our guide. Thanks David for the awesome time! Our group was relatively small and the trip felt more like a private tour from the beginning until the end. David was really knowledgeable of Alaska, its wildlife and nature. You could see his passion for it when he was explaining us the wildlife and stories while driving. During the trip there were a variety of activities that are suitable for everyone. My favorite ones were kayaking and wildlife watching. I cannot express enough how good David's eyesight was for detecting bears, goats, whales, otters, you name it! Without his help, I think we would have missed it all. Great experience and Great job Infinite Adventures :)Show moreInfinite Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much!
