- MSMark· April 1st, 2018Leading up to the trip the company was a bit disorganized. Dates changed from booking to itinerary. I confirmed the dates via email, then when I showed up a day early, I was told we were leaving a day earlier than planned. Other people in group were surprised as well. Just lucky I arrived early or I would have missed the trek. Trek was great, but front office staff is not reliable.Show moreTrip date: March 2018
- HHolger· November 30th, 2016The whole trip was better than we expected. The accomodation in the hostel was as good as in a hotel and the whole crew was very caring. The guides did a really good job.Trip date: November 2016
- SSabine· November 25th, 2016First of all I have to say, that it was a spontaneous decision to enrol for the 6 days Machame Route Trip to the Mount Kilimanjaro. Therefore I have not had any expectations what so ever, since I did not do any research prior to this amazing adventure. Of course it was an exhausting experience due to the daily workout, but the impressions of the beautiful nature is just unforgettable and compensates all the effort. And to be honest , I rather experience an adventure during my vacation instead of hanging around the beach all day long. Anyways. Our guides were really helpful and carrying. They supported and pushed us when needed. I do honour their ability to empathize with their clients, no matter what new challenge will arise. Our guides were incredibly patiently throughout the entire trip. I felt very comfortable, even when I had the feeling I could not make it any further, since I experiences slide parts of the altitude sickness. I must say, that I would not have made it to the top without the incredible support of the guides from VIVA AFRICA TOURS. Thank you so much once again. The accommodation in the tends were extremely good. As to the culinary aspect I was positive surprised what huge variety of food we were provided with. I have the deepest respect for the cook and of course the porters. They did an amazing job of carrying all the equipment, food and water. After all I must admit, that I do not have any regrets about signing up spontaneously. The trip with VIVA AFRICA TOURS was really worth it. It was an outstanding and overwhelming experience, which I am really thankful for. After one and a half year passed by, I am still thinking about it. It was just very unique and special. Concluding I would like to address my deepest compliments to the crew, especially to the guides. If it wasn´t for them, I would probably not have made it to the highest mountain of Africa. Thanks again.Show moreTrip date: August 2015
