  WOW, this word was repeated often, as our Guide , Romano, always told us when we would see the next Wow spot. He was never wrong! The bus was comfortable, and the driver, Francesco, was like a magician, weaving that big machine through such narrow and windy streets. Three of the hotels were good, modern and clean. The second hotel we stayed at was in a lovely lakeside position, But, definitely not up to a good enough standard. It only had a very small lift which caused lots of waiting with suit cases. The showers were cold and had no pressure. Toaster broke and the coffee machine was lacking. The only good thing about it was the friendly happy staff, which seemed like family. The bus seat rotation seemed like a good idea, until some people refused to get out of your seat. What overall made the trip was our Tour Guide, Romano. He was funny, chatty, informative and when necessary had our back. He also managed serious situations with respect and care. We thouroghly enjoyed our Tour and would not hesitate to go on another one. Thankyou Rhonda

  Some hotels were not well appointed … only one lift, and broken on 2nd floor. Food quality mediocre in some hotels. Tours interesting to give as much information and to see the countryside as possible. Coach very comfortable, and driver excellent. Tour guide good and knowledgeable, even though he had to step in at the last moment.

  One hotel needs to be updated the location was excellent but the rooms were clean furniture to be refinished new mattresses the owners need to greet there travellers, Hotel Milano in Belgirate all the outside need to be refinished there was still spider webs on our chair in the eating room Thankyou

  We enjoyed the tour very much; it took us to places that are so scenic. Our tour guide Lisa and the driver Claudio took every effort to make sure we were comfortable, happy and safe. The only negative thing is the hotel on lake Maggiore where there was only one tiny elevator and we had to use the stairs. We're not young spring chickens so it was a challenge. Overall it was a wonderful tour and I would recommend it.

  Exceptional scenery. My sister and I have trouble walking long distances and we appreciated the kindness, Simone, the tour director showed us. The itinerary we were provided by Costsavers was very different from the actual itinerary that we followed. We were disappointed that one of the lake trips was cancelled without advanced notice. The hotel meals were C-. I would have liked more day-to-day communication about what to expect as the day unfolded. The bus driver, Raphael, got us through some very tight spaces. All that said, my sister and I had a terrific time and will cherish our memories forever.

  Great itinerary, amazing scenery, good hotels, amazing driver Rafaele, fabulous passionate Local Specialists but very poor Travel Director - poorly organised, no narrative, not enthusiastic, poor communicator, autocratic, gave us insufficient time in key places, changed itinerary to exclude one of two boat cruises - as an Italian Lake tour it should include lots of time cruising. We used a couple of water taxis but Como cruise was fantastic. We had a great time, saw some amazing things and met some lovely people but the Travel Director was a source of constant frustration for the 23 people on the coach, many of whom are experienced Tour travellers surprised at her poor level of service. Our expectations were set extremely low at the start of the tour as she said Costsaver hotels were poor quality compared with Trafalgar. We feel we would have enjoyed the tour a million times more had it not been for our Tour Guide. We felt we were often lacking in narrative and information on what we were seeing. Local Specialists were fantastic, knowledgeable and passionate!!! Some excursions we felt were not good value and that there were no real options for those not participating. We would happily use TourRadar again as it was very easy to book and communicate with you, but we would not recommend Costsaver unfortunately.

  great to visit Italy. Enjoyed it very much, but, the negatives are too many places to be with no real rest, no free days as promised, lousy substitute for Lake Lugano tour, totally mediocre dinners provided at hotels. the tour guide Simone was excellent, the tour bus driver Raphael was phenomenal.

  Kind of disappointed with the tour director, the last-minute changes to the itinerary, the poor communication and lack of communication during the tour. I shared detailed info with CostSavers. After the great service I received from staff at TourRadar during the signup process, the mediocre service during the tour from CostSaver was really glaring. I will never tour with them again.
