- ALAlison· July 22nd, 2023I have never gone on a group tour before this and I will never go on one again. I was expecting that on a National Geographic tour — the only company I would ever even consider — there was some expectation of education, prior travel, some level of ability to navigate the world beyond one’s hometown, some semblance of being cultured or curious — but clearly, there was not. My guide in Israel was fabulous and we did get to see so much — even I have to admit, this would have been a challenge to pull off on one’s own, cobbling together day trips from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv or Amman — so I am deeply grateful for what I was able to learn on this trip, but I was expecting people more like myself who are well-travelled, intelligent, and independent. I was expecting companions who at least had looked at a damn map.Show moreTrip date: July 2023
- LHLiza· October 17th, 2019It has been an amazing trip with a packed itinerary. We enjoyed the cultural talks which made the experience lot more meaningful.Trip date: September 2019
- HHHelga· October 16th, 2019Both guides were very good. I don’t remember their names. One we called Naz and the other Suhair. We arrived in Tel Aviv on a Saturday which is their Sabash and were picked up and taken to Jerusalem where we arrived around noon. Could not get into our room till 8.30 after a 15 hour flight. We were very tired and I think it would have been better if arrangements had been made for us to stay in Tel Aviv for that night and then transferred to Jerusalem the next morning. Other than that, I enjoyed it all. I got sick with food poisoning on the last day in Tel Aviv just after we crossed over to Jordan but they took very good care of me in Amman at the hotel. This trip is not a holiday but an adventure and you have to be in good health to endure it all.Show moreTrip date: September 2019
- LMLaurie· February 19th, 2019Israel and Jordan were fascinating. Both Jalal (Israel guide) and Zuhair (Jordan guide) were knowledgeable, fun and friendly.National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures commented on this reviewWonderful to hear that, thank you Laurie!Trip date: January 2019
- JDJenny· May 11th, 2018This tour was fantastic and could only be improved by a visit to Aqaba with snorkeling in the Red Sea. Being able to book and confirm the hot air balloon trip prior to departure would also be an improvement. However, Ayman was an informative and entertaining guide in a culturally and visually rich country. I would highly recommend it !Show moreNational Geographic Journeys with G Adventures commented on this reviewThanks fo the review, and the suggestion Jenny!Trip date: April 2018
