- Johnny· January 17th, 2024Totally Jordan ON THE GO Tours was truly Amazing. Despite the conflict in Israel, NOTHING was happening in Jordan at the time I went, so I'm grateful I didn't cancel the trip and miss this awesome experience. This was my 6th Tour with ON THE GO Tours - and again, it made me see why I keep coming back. I really love the vibe of Jordan, there's just a relaxed energy that feels good. I felt safe, welcomed and enjoyed my time here. ⭐⭐ I thought we'd be driving on dirt roads and be very bumpy - but it was freeways all the way to every destination. We had a massive Bus so we could all spread out - with charging points on board, and plenty of room. We had a group of 19 people, with 17 of that group just coming from Egypt with ON THE GO Tours. They said they loved there time there also, felt super safe, Loved the tour and never felt uneasy - despite the Israel unrest. Some tour Site highlights included the AMAZING Petra, Wadi Rum Desert and the Dead Sea. ?️⭐? Petra was beautiful - we got a fabulous weather day to see the treasury and monastery. With tourism being down in the region, it was quiet and peaceful, very rare. It is such a site to see. Not only the treasury, but also what's around, old amphitheater, rock houses, old temples, very cool to see. There is a lot of walking on this day, not complaining at all - just a heads up. To see the monastery, you can do the 1400 round trip of steps, or hire a donkey to take you one way, or both. The Monastery's size is something to be in awe of - just WOW. photos don't do it justice. I'm 6ft 3in height, and the front step was as tall as me, clearly built for Giants, lol ? in Wadi Rum, we did a desert Safari on the back of Utes out in the open. If you prefer to sit inside the car cabin, you can for sure, but to get that 360 view, best to be on the back. We did a few stops to take in the sites, but driving through the desert was a massive highlight, beautiful colours and lookouts, with nothing but sand, cliffs, rocks and mountains for miles. That night, some of us upgraded our rooms to sleep in the luxury Dome glamping tents. These tents were gorgeous, all you could need, and had a massive window opposite the bed, so at night you could stare gaze, and in the morning, see the amazing mountains and desert. ?️? The Dead Sea and the resort were brilliant to chill and relax. You don't swim here; you float on your back. The water itself almost feels oily, but in a good way. The mud is like silk when you put it on your skin. When you wash it off, I noticed blemishes were gone, my skin felt silky smooth, it was great. The resort Itself was great - HUGE, and cause tourism is down, one of the nights, after my group had gone their own ways, I ended up being the ONLY PERSON staying at the resort - it was epic. This stay saw us staying opposite Isarel, where we could clearly see Jericho and Jerusalem. During my 5 days there, I never saw any rockets, or heard conflict of any sort. I felt completely safe the entire time. Another massive Highlight was our guide "G". He was amazing. So knowledgeable, fun, easy going, approachable. Everything with him was flawless, so much wisdom and information about everything we saw, and he made it so interesting. He was sweet, kind and caring and made sure we were all enjoying ourselves. One of the best guides I've had on a tour. Really loved this tour and hope people go and visit Jordan to see all its amazing sites. Despite the Israel Unrest, Jordan is not wanting involvement and staying out of the conflict - so i urge people to go here cause it is safe. ON THE GO Tours wouldn't run tours here, or anywhere if it was unsafe - so don't cancel - book that ticket and see the amazing place Jordan is.Show moreOn The Go Tours commented on this reviewWe are so please that you enjoyed your time with us! - Ben· December 5th, 2023I had high expectations of Jordan but this trip still managed to beat them. Petra was staggering and the night camping in Wadi Rum was great. I would strongly recommend booking this tour instead of the shorter one, as the free day at the Dead Sea is very welcome after a busy tour! All of the hotels were of a high standard, with good Wi-Fi and delicious meals. Our guide Mohamed was attentive and interesting, he made several stops that weren't on the itinerary, for example to see a historic Ottoman train in Wadi Rum. Jordanian people are so friendly and welcoming, and despite the situation in Israel I felt completely safe and looked after for the entire trip. I cannot wait to return.Show moreOn The Go Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for the rave review! - KBKaty· October 22nd, 2022We had the best week exploring Jordan. The itinerary, sights, group and guide were first class. Our guide Hameed was absolutely brilliant. Very knowledgable, funny and organised. He definitely made the whole week run a lot smoother than other tours we came across. He helped us gel as a group too which really made the week more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfect for us, we saw so much of the country in a short time and the longer days ensured the trip didn’t feel like it was going too fast. Petra, Wadi rum and Wadi mujib were our highlights. Such incredible experiences we’ll never forget. The Jordanian people are the most friendly and welcoming we’ve ever come across, from the brilliant hotels we stayed at to just passing people in the street. We were also really lucky with our fellow travellers as we all got on so well. The night at the desert camp we stayed up star gazing then eating marshmallows around the fire until late. All the other groups went to bed straight after dinner so maybe weren’t as lucky with their groups! Everything went very smoothly overall, our only issues were with the rude guy who met us on arrival at the airport. It definitely needs to be made clearer about the visa - this is included in your tour but we got a Jordan pass to save money on entry to sights and this also comes with a visa. The information wasn’t clear as to where to meet the tour rep which is what caused the issues. We also felt the itinerary should have been better described in terms of difficulty level. As 29/32 year olds who do a lot outdoors we had no problem but there was a 70yr old on the tour who couldn’t take part in some things. I felt it most difficult on the guide as he’s trying to cater for a big variation in ability while pleasing everyone but also sticking to the itinerary. It would just make more sense to explain this more before people book. For example Wadi mujib was a great experience but it’s hard going swimming through fast current and climbing ropes, there isn’t much info about this online so a video showing you the experience would have helped. Also a little update to things to pack as a waterproof phone case is super handy. But overall we had an incredible time and would definitely look at more on the go tours in the future.Show moreOn The Go Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for posting your feedback which allows us the opportunity to review any concerns noted during your stay. - ramya· June 1st, 2022The trip was a bit rushed, some days we spent time on eating and shopping center instead of the sights. however the overall experience was great and we loved it.On The Go Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for taking time to post your review!Trip date: May 2022
- Azam· April 26th, 2022This was an amazing trip! A fully comprehensive experience of Jordan. Each day of the tour gets better and better until the end. Obviously, Petra and the Dead Sea are must see locations, but the other sites are also spectacular. Ghadain was our tour guide and he went above and beyond at each turn. He truly meant "we are all family" and acted like it. He accommodated all special requests and made every one in the tour feel special. He was a big reason why we had such a great time. Would highly recommend the Petra Kitchen added tour. Cannot recommend Night by Petra; there was nothing redeeming about this experience as there was an enormous crowd and subpar "show" at the treasury. Although, the walk to the treasury at night was peaceful with the candlelit path. The lodging arranged by OnTheGo during this tour was 4 and 5 star hotels. We particularly loved the Old Village Resort in Petra and the Crowne Plaza Resort in Dead Sea. Although, the Petra Moon Hotel in Petra and the Holiday Inn Resort in the Dead Sea would also be great options. We had an extra night in Amman at the beginning of the tour and got to enjoy the roof top bar and restaurant (Vinaigrette) in the Al Qasr Hotel. If you have the chance, try to eat at Sheen in Amman, another spectacular restaurant. I wish we could have seen Rainbow Street in Amman, but it likely was not that lively during Ramadan. Speaking of visiting Jordan during Ramadan, I would recommend it. We did not feel as if we missed out on anything. The Wadi Mujib trail was closed in April, but that was because of heavy rainfall, not because of Ramadan. The people in Jordan are extremely welcoming and the country itself was very moderate. We did not feel restricted or judged for our western culture/clothing. OnTheGo handled every logistic from start to finish. We were greeted by a visa representative as soon as be got off from the plane. They handled our entire visa process and got us through customs. Then there was an OnTheGo driver waiting for us after baggage claim. From then on, every bus, shuttle, and taxi ride was arranged for us by our amazing tour guide. The whole trip was seamless and extremely enjoyable. My wife and I are fairly well traveled, and this was easily our favorite destination. We will be recommending this exact trip to all of our friends and family who saw our amazing pictures of Jordan on our Instagram. No regrets!Show moreOn The Go Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for the awesome review! - KKevinCassidy· November 11th, 2019This was our first tour. We are both fit aged 71 and 64. We can’t say enough about this tour. Fantastic, incredible, awesome. The itinerary was tight but doable. The information given to us by “On The Go” was clear and precise. The hotels were better than we had expected but the icing on the cake was our guide Hameed or AJ as he preferred. He brought us all together as a family and conveyed to us his love of Jordon through it’s history and culture, bringing everything to life. A wonderful genuine guy. I could go through the sights we visited but they were all well above our expectations. We found that the last day of the tour basically left us a free day to enjoy the hotel and dead sea. Some of our group found this a waste of a day, personally we found it rewarding as it gave us time to relax after a hard week of sightseeing. Thank you “On The Go” for making a great holiday totally awesome.Show moreOn The Go Tours commented on this reviewThankyou very much for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent trip with On The Go Tours.
